THE WAIT IS OVER, WE ARE BACK The Showcase raises the curtain to the 2023/24 Cheltenham season once again. The thundering hooves, eager participants and excited fans will return to the Home of Jump Racing on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 October 2023. The meeting showcases the sport of racing, giving racegoers the chance to learn about different racehorse ownership experiences, as well as special Q&A sessions with racing greats, setting the scene for the drama, history and heroics that will unfold as the season progresses.
FRIDAY Don’t miss the buzz of the beginning, for some it is like returning to their spiritual home and the excitement and anticipation for the season ahead is real. There are seven competitive races to enjoy and a variety of live entertainment. You don’t want to miss the start. SATURDAY There are seven fantastic races to whet the appetite for the season ahead as equine and human stars start their campaign with the hopes and dreams of returning in March.

SUNDAY As well as the fantastic racing, Sunday also offers free family entertainment in the CLUB/ TATTS enclosure. See Hey Duggee, Tweedy the Clown and enjoy the inflatables and lots more. For the older children, there will be multiple sports challenges all against the backdrop of thrilling racing. Equine athletes will not be the only ones gracing Cheltenham’s hallowed turf, there will be a Mascot Race taking place, which is sure to provide a lot of laughs amongst young and older racegoers alike. A great day to ignite the racing flame in the in the hearts of future fans!
entertainment, including a Gun Dog display and an RoR parade, where equine stars of the past return to the Home of Jump Racing. SATURDAY Saturday is the showpiece of the meeting. The lively, excitable and fun atmosphere, coupled with superb sporting action and fantastic entertainment makes it an unmissable day. The racing glitterati are out in force, owners, trainers and jockeys are battling it out on the track to return victorious to the cheer of the crowds nestled in the rolling Cotswold hills. There will be live entertainment throughout the day and the action doesn’t stop when the racing does, continue the party in The Centaur with legendary local band The Chip Shop Boys.

THE STAGE IS SET Excitement, anticipation and expectation is building. It is the final opportunity to see the sports protagonists go out to battle on Cheltenham Racecourse’s hallowed turf before the Cheltenham Festival. THE CAZOO BRITISH OPEN MONDAY 25 SEPTEMBER TO SUNDAY 1 OCTOBER The Centaur will play host to Snooker’s biggest stars later this year when the Cazoo British Open starts from 25 September to 1 October. The British Open was initially staged from 1985 to 2004, then returned to the calendar in 2021 after a 17-year absence. It starts with a flat draw of 128 players and there will be a qualifying round for certain players ahead of the final stages in Cheltenham. The first four rounds are all best of seven frames, followed by best-of-nine quarter- finals, best-of-11 semi-finals, and then the final on Sunday October 1st will be best-of-19.
