● Disruptive Talking: Talking out of turn, excessive chatter. ● Not Following Directions: Ignoring or refusing to follow simple instructions. ● Minor Inattention: Daydreaming, not paying attention. ● Inappropriate Language: Use of mild curse words or rude comments. ● Horseplay: Running/playing around in the classroom (when inappropriate), minor physical contact that doesn't result in any injury. The consequences for Level 1 offenses are at the discretion of the classroom teacher, The teacher will email the parents this information on the day of the infraction. This will help the teacher track behavior and communicate with parents as needed. Examples of consequences include, but are not limited to:
● Verbal Warning ● Loss of Privilege (e.g. playtime, special activities) ● Seat Change ● Work Detail ● Time-out ● Parent Contact
Level 2 offenses are more serious infractions that require administrative intervention. These offenses may pose a threat to the safety or well-being of others, significantly disrupt the learning environment, or violate school policy. Examples include, but are not limited to: ● Bullying: Repeated and intentional acts of aggression, harassment, or intimidation. ● Fighting: Physical altercations resulting in injury or potential for injury. ● Theft: Stealing property belonging to others. ● Vandalism: Damaging school property or other students personal property. ● Disrespect/Insubordination: Refusal to follow directions/arguing with staff member. ● Harassment: Use of hateful words, racial slurs, or discriminatory behavior. ● Cheating: Willful cheating on tests or assignments.
