Would you rather have a library room or media room at home? I’d choose a library room for sure! There’s something calming about the atmosphere of an old library. Plus, I can picture my girls’ book club gatherings being a bit more serene! Would you prefer to have a luxurious bathtub or enjoy a sumptuous shower? I’m definitely a bathtub girl! Picture this: lots of bubbles, candles flickering, soothing music playing, and a glass of something fizzy in hand. It’s my little slice of heaven to unwind after a long day. Would you rather live in the bustling city or in the country? I’d choose the country every time! The tranquillity and natural beauty are so appealing. It’s where I can truly connect with nature and find peace in my surroundings. If you were buying a property overseas, in what country would you buy a home? Without a doubt, I’d love to buy a home in the South of France. The stunning landscapes, delicious food and vibrant culture would make for an incredible lifestyle. Plus, who wouldn’t want to sip wine in a sun-soaked garden? Would you rather have a bigger property or a better location? I’d opt for a better location! A charming neighbourhood can enhance your quality of life so much. It’s all about being in a place where you feel connected and inspired. What is one thing you couldn’t live without at home? My hair dryer is a must-have! With my naturally wavy hair, it helps me feel put together. What’s your favourite way to unwind at home after work? What room at home is your favourite? My favourite room is the lounge! It’s filled with cosy sofas, a lovely wood burner, and a full wall of family pictures. Every time I walk in, I feel all gooey inside, reminded of the beautiful memories I’ve shared over the years. It’s like a warm hug that invites everyone to relax and connect. What’s your favourite gadget or technology at home? Oh, my air fryer is a total game changer! As a busy working mum, it’s a lifesaver. I can whip up healthy meals in no time, making family dinners both quick and delicious. What colour do you think everyone should have in their home? I believe everyone should have a touch of teal in their home. It brings a refreshing vibe and reminds me of coastal tones, which are so calming. I’ve sprinkled it throughout my home in wall prints, cushions, and picture frames – it just makes everything feel a bit more alive! Which three people would you invite over for a housewarming party if you could have any guests? I’d kick things off by inviting Sarah Millican—her humour is absolutely brilliant, and she always knows how to make people laugh! Next, I’d love to have Patrick Dempsey join us; not only is he charming, but he also brings a touch of charisma that lights up any room. Finally, I’d invite Emma Thompson; her wit and storytelling ability would add so much depth to the evening. Just imagine: a night filled with laughter, charm, and unforgettable conversations! What’s your favourite memory from your childhood home? One of my fondest memories is apple and plum picking during my summer holidays in Kent. Riding on tractors through the fields was pure joy! It reminds me of the simple pleasures in life and the beauty of nature. Would you rather have a garden or a balcony? I’m a bit torn here! While I adore the beauty of a garden, I must admit that a balcony sounds tempting. It would save me time at weekends, and I can still enjoy fresh air with some potted plants and a comfy chair! Do you prefer modern homes or period properties? I’m a fan of period properties, especially when they’ve been refurbished. They have so much character! My home is a chalet bungalow, which means it’s super spacious and tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac. I love the balance of being close to town while enjoying the peace of village life. It’s the best of both worlds! Where did you buy your first home? My first home was in Wooburn Green, Buckinghamshire. It was a charming two bedroom Victorian house just off the village green. I
have such fond memories of that place! What is your favourite song and why?
My favourite song has to be Fix You by Coldplay. It’s such a beautiful and uplifting anthem about hope and support. Whenever I listen to it, I feel inspired and reminded of the power of love and kindness to help us through tough times. What advice would you give a first time buyer? I’d say, “Do your research and trust your instincts!” It’s important to find a place that feels right for you. Also, don’t rush – take your time to find a home that truly resonates with you.
