Meet the Team | Dr. Jen Ryan , PT, DPT, CSCS

Dr. Jen Ryan received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State. Jen is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Certified Clinical Athlete Weightlifting Coach, and a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. Jen worked as a Civil Engineer for two years while coaching CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting in her spare time. Her love of functional movement and helping people reach their fitness and lifestyle goals led her to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Jen believes that her patients are the experts of their bodies and is passionate about empowering people to take their health into their own hands. Jen ensures that her patients are active participants in their therapy so that they leave each session knowing more about the foundations of movement. She integrates strength and conditioning, mindfulness, and stress management in order to build self efficacy and confidence during rehabilitation and beyond. Jen loves helping people do what makes them happy and designs her treatment approach to keep you active while you work towards your therapy goals. Outside of Physical Therapy, Jen competes in Olympic Weightlifting, is an avid backpacker and snowboarder and enjoys doing anything outside with her two dogs.

Meet the Team | Dr. Michael Giles, PT, DPT

Dr. Michael Giles received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, VA, and his Bachelors of Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky. Michael has an extensive physical therapy background with many years of experience as a PT technician and fitness trainer prior to his Doctoral education. Outside of physical therapy Michael has a great passion for martial arts, in particular Jiu-Jitsu, in which he regularly trains and competes. Michael routinely implements yoga practice and weight training to supplement his Jiu-Jitsu. Michael is an advocate of a holistic approach to rehabilitation, emphasizing the benefits of both proper nutrition and mindfulness in conjunction with physical movement.
