Summer is flying by. I am sure that you all feel it too. We aren’t going on that typical summer vacation this year. Summer has been spent traveling though. Dance nationals in Las Vegas. Yep, Brinkley did great this year. They spend 7 days in Vegas (Hope hates that place). Brinkley was top 20 overall. She was a little disappointed but I wasn’t. Since we are talking baseball, that has been the cause of most of our traveling this Summer. Foster has been traveling to play baseball. We had a tournament
one weekend. On her way back to Atlanta, she passed this puppy. She felt compelled to stop. It was tiny, starving and covered in ticks. So, what do you do with that, call your dad and say you are taking it toAtlanta. Well...funny thing is, she lives in an Apartment that doesn’t allowpets, she is gone 10 hours a day and has never taken care of a pet her entire life. So...Stone jumps in his car and goes to get the pup. He takes it to The Pet Hospitals. (He did work there one summer.) They will give shots and get strays healthy for free. Well, 4weekshavepassed, Red has nowbeen trained by yours truly. He is teething and loves to eat, I mean read books that are left in normal places, like a coffee table. He terrorizes the other two dogs but he will learn. Sophie has seen him 2 times since she got him. He is growing fast and will probably be 100 pounds. Welcome to the family, Red! - Jeremy
in Nashville and another long tournament in Hoover Alabama. That has been a lot of fun. The boys have had some really good games. The down time has been fun as well. Getting to know the parents has been a blast. We have a really great group. We don’t get a break for long though. Football practice has already started for Foster. If y’all haven’t seenhim, he is now my size...maybe even a little taller and fast as lightning. I hope that he can learn to catch a football like he can a baseball. His hands are a little stiff right now but we are working on it. Maybe in the next couple of weeks, we will be able to just be calm and enjoy the pool. Oh Yeah!!! I almost forgot. Sophie is still in Atlanta. She has been filming several things. I can’t wait to see her on the big screen. Quick story, she came home
We have also made a couple of trips to Tuscaloosa. Stone is now officially enrolled in the University of Alabama. He is taking summer calculus and will be entering as a Sophmore. He wants to get his International business degree and learn Japanese. I am having a hard time saying “Roll Tide”. It doesn’t roll off the tongue as easily as Hail State does. Speaking of Hail State. If you aren’t a Bulldog fan or if you don’t watch baseball. I feel that it is my moral duty and obligation to inform the masses that my Mississippi State Bulldogs are now the NCAA Baseball National Champions!!! It was so much fun watching those boys play so well down the stretch. It marks the first National Championship for MSU.

Acute injuries are caused by a single specific incident, such as a strain or tear. Overuse injuries are caused by excessive repetitive movements over time. Some of themost common types of upper extremity injuries include: Tennis elbow. While this term is colloquially referred to as “tennis elbow,” it can also
be caused by other sports and activities, including softball, baseball, raking leaves, and even excessive typing on a computer. Tennis elbow is an overuse injury that results in inflammation of the tendons in the forearm, making it difficult to lift your arm. Golfer’s elbow. This is another colloquial term, used to describe an overuse injury causing muscle inflammation inside the elbow. It is also sometimes referred to as “Little Leaguer’s Elbow.” This injury runs from the bony point of your elbow and can stretch down your forearm, making it difficult to extend or lift your arm. This is an overuse injury that causes swelling in the tendons that control your hand movement, making it difficult to bend your fingers and move your hand or elbow. Flexor tendinitis is typically associated with sports that require constant throwing, such as softball, baseball, football, or shot put. Frozen shoulder. Frozen shoulder can result from either an acute injury or an overuse injury. It occurs when the tissue in your shoulder thickens or scar tissue forms, causing your shoulder to feel as if it’s being “squeezed” and making it difficult to move. Rotator cuff tear. Rotator cuff tears can occur from either acute or overuse causes, as well. For example, falling on an outstretched arm, sustaining a blow to the shoulder, or partaking in repetitive overhead motions (such as those in swimming, softball, baseball, tennis, or football) can all result in rotator cuff

Move through the following four shoulder positions slowly and one right after another, forming an X pattern. Repeat 10 times on each shoulder.
(ROM = Range of Motion) Start by lying on your side with the affected arm on the bottom. Your affected arm should
be bent at the elbow and forearm pointed upwards towards the ceiling as shown. Next, use your unaffected arm to gently draw your affected forearm towards the table or bed.
