Designations a - nominal voltage. b - vented type (normal type). c - battery capacity at 10 hour rate. d - indication of different size of the same capacity batteries. e - polarity location (see Fig.1) configuration. f - location of opening for exhaust (see Fig.2). g - type of terminal. h - symbol on manufactured batteries (C, YB). i - performance level. j - cranking or starting power. k - symbol of maintenance free batteries (CT, GT, YT, YI).

Landport Lithium Batteries Lead-acid batteries reach up to 300 charge cycles. Gel batteries reach up to 500 charge cycles. Lithium LiFePO4 batteries reach over 2000 charge cycles. This results in an up to 6 times longer cycle life compared to conventional motorcycle batteries. In comparison with lead-acid batteries, Lithium LiFePO4 batteries have a higher energy density and an extremely low internal resistance. Based on these characteristics leadacid batteries need a higher capacity to start an engine in contrast to Lithium LiFePO4 batteries which do not need this higher capacity. So, despite their lower capacity Lithium LiFePO4 batteries perform better than lead-acid batteries. Lithium LiFePO4 batteries are also real lightweights. Compared to similar lead-acid batteries, Lithium LiFePO4 batteries provide a massive weight reduction of up to 75%.
