Being young can be challenging, with students balancing school, sports, clubs, and often part- time jobs, all while navigating social pressures and everyday drama. Opportunity Matters is designed to help participants build skills that strengthen character and prepare them to handle both current challenges and future responsibilities. Through a series of interactive discussions led by adults from the community, the program explores topics such as courage, confidence, and integrity. Opportunity Matters also addresses essential life lessons, including financial accountability and self-improvement. Past sessions have featured a panel of student athletes who shared their experiences competing at the collegiate level, as well as a local business owner who spoke candidly about the realities of starting a business and the challenges they faced and overcame.
