THE ROMEOVILLE ATHLETIC & EVENT CENTER (55 Phelps Avenue) is a 99,000 square foot facility that was renovated in 2021 and includes an indoor turf spanning 150’x175’, four permanent IHSA regulation basketball courts or eight regulation volleyball courts, spectator area, and one multipurpose room. Due to high demand for the Athletic & Event Center the Village purchased six additional basketball courts to host larger, National Tournaments. These tournaments have brought events with 300 teams, thus needing 1,500 hotel rooms per day for a 3-day tournament. These tournaments have drawn visits from top ranked college coaches from Michigan State, University of Wisconsin, Purdue, Minnesota, and Cornell to name a few. The Romeoville Athletic & Event Center continues to exceed our expectations by drawing thousands to our area. Located along the Route 53 corridor, this complex has drawn regional attention with over 948,000 visitors annually. In addition to athletics, the Center also accommodates indoor festivals, shows, conferences, corporate events, parties, camps, and clinics.
