TYRE SEALANT The best way to prevent a flat is to put a ‘sealant’ in the tube before you get the puncture. The sealant liquid is put in through the valve, and coats the inside of the tube with a tacky layer. Then, if a thorn or nail goes in, the sealant seals around the puncture hole.
