Ryan Robson, SNC resource technician. All costs for theweekend program, includ- ing manuals and training, were covered by the SNC and Delta Waterfowl. Participants met with their hunting mentors, local trap- pers, and conservation officers for instruc- tion in their courses, and also took part in an archery workshop and a skeet shooting demonstration during the first day of the two-day program. The second day partici- pants took part in a guided hunt under the direction of St. Lawrence Outfitters. The SNC manages several forested prop- erties within the 4000-square-kilometre South Nation River watershed. Hunting is allowed on those lands provided hunters pay their $50 registration fee to the SNC and also receive advance permission to do

so, provide proof of a valid hunting licence, and follow all safety rules for hunting.
