For decades, the rotunda atop Quincy Market was home to an iconic comedy club that would bring in upwards of 1200 people a night. By leaving, that club served as an economic driver to all the surrounding businesses. By working to foster successful arts and entertainment programming again in that space, the City of Boston can look to revitalize that area, bringing in even more people than ever before. Ticketed, timed events bring people to the area early for dinner and drinks, and releases their audiences after the show. With an increased presence of people in the evening, the entire area becomes more vibrant, feeling energized, fun, and safe.
