The Quantumwear suits were developed by Quest along with Rad-Con Health Physicists and Industrial Hygienists at the former Manhattan Project and Department of Energy Weapons Complex sites for high-contamination areas – Nuclear/Radiological, Asbestos, Mold and Lead, or other highly suspect dust/contamination/splash environments in remediation sites, to keep workers protected while offering excellent heat-stress mitigation, comfort, and increased worker productivity. Quest Protective Apparel offers twice the coverage at the knees and elbows to increase safety and reduce the risk of tearing. Our Comfortwear suits were developed by Quest along with one of our Pharmaceutical customers. All suits have Real-world sizing to fit the needs of all workers. Each size is larger than industry standards, providing additional comfort and room for the worker, leading to increased productivity for the business.

Serged seams join two pieces of material with a thread that interlocks. This is an economical stitching method for general applications where dry particulates are a concern. Not for use for chemical protection.

Bound seams join two pieces of material with an overlay of similar material and is chain stitched through all of the layers for a clean nished edge. This provides increased holdouts of liquids and dry particulate.

Taped seams utilize a bound seam with the additional protection of a heat activated tape. This provides a liquid proof seam and is

QPA Chemicalwear ™ Chemical Resistant Serged Seams Dry Particulate Light Splash Protection

QPA C hemicalwear ™ provides the perfect combination of chemical protection and a design that offers comfort and flexibility – at an economical price. ASTM F739’s test results (see reverse side ) show that Chemicalwear suits permit no permeation for the duration of the 480 minute test on seven of the challenge chemicals. Our competitors’ fabric only stops two or three of those seven chemicals. Should a worker encounter any of the other challenge chemicals in the field, Chemicalwear typically provides more time for the user to escape the area and doff the suit before permeation occurs. With supplemental stitching in high-stress areas such as the knees and elbows, workers are far less likely to encounter tears in their suits. The oversized tting gives users much more maneuverability and comfort on the job.
