From the Editors: Dear Readers of our quarterly Stone Soup and Catalogue. We are pleased to include in this catalogue an exciting assortment of programs, classes, and workshops for children, adults, and families. Many of the classes are offered by Independent Contractors who are responsible for the content as well as the fees for the classes. Please contact them directly for information on registering for these programs.
ZOILA’S CHILDCARE
Many students who attend Zoila’s or the LOFT include a VAST tutoring session as part of their day. Staff will remind students of their scheduled sessions, and students are ex- pected to make their way to the VAST Room, located on the lower campus in room 6. Students are scheduled on a first-come, first- served basis. Once your child’s name is added
Named in honor of beloved Valley matriarch Zoila Berardi, Zoila’s Childcare Center provides licensed, nurturing care for children in TK through 3rd grade.
Each afternoon, participants from Laguni- tas Community School are met by Zoila’s staff on the upper campus at the new release times—1:00 PM for TK, 2:00 PM for Kindergarten, and 3:00 PM for 1st through 3rd grade—and are safely escorted to
to our request list, we will do our best to match them with a tutor as soon as possible. To register, please complete a VAST Request Form through your MyRec account. Once we receive your form, we’ll begin reviewing tutor availabil- ity and coordinate scheduling with you. A confirmation email with your child’s tutoring day(s) and time(s) will be sent once the schedule is finalized. DAYS: Monday – Thursday TIMES: 1-hour sessions between 3:00–5:00 PM (Mon, Tues, Thurs) & 2:00–5:00 PM (Wed) FEE: Invoiced monthly: $25 per session for LOFT/Zoila’s students $30 per session for non-LOFT/Zoila’s students Homework Club: $10 per hour, billed at the end of the month Please note: Once your child is scheduled with a tutor, you must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid being charged for the session.
Zoila’s. Students from Nicasio School are picked up by the SGVCC Van and dropped off right at our front door, where a friendly staff member greets them. At Zoila’s, kids enjoy a safe, supportive, and enriching environ- ment filled with fun, hands-on activities that promote learn- ing and healthy development. Healthy snacks are provided daily to keep energy levels high and spirits bright. Zoila’s Childcare is situated in Room 7 on the Lagunitas Lower Campus, conveniently right next door to VAST and The Community Center. Daily Drop-ins are available and must be scheduled in advance prior to school release. HOLIDAY CAMP
Looking for a fun, safe, and engaging place for your child when school is out? Our Holiday Camp provides a full day of enrich- ing activities, giving parents peace of mind and kids a chance to play, create, and connect. Each camp day includes hands- on art projects, indoor/outdoor games, gym time, and healthy snacks—all in a supportive, supervised environment. New this year! We’re excited to incorporate local field trips into our Holiday Camp programming. These outings will give chil- dren new opportunities to explore and learn beyond the Center, adding adventure and variety to their day. Holiday Camp takes place in The LOFT (above the gym) and is open to students in TK through 6th grade.

The LOFT is an awesome place to hang and students love it - with crafts, games, sports, and more, what’s not to love!? Our staff make use of the Community Gym and the surrounding outdoor space to create an experience for stu- dents that is far beyond childcare, while also prioritizing safe- ty and supervision. Healthy snacks are provided every day.
