WELCOME
Dear friends, We appreciate you taking time to view our 2026 production sale offering and encourage you to stop by to see them in person. What a great time it is to be in the cattle business! As we each plan for the future of our operations, it’s important to plan based off of facts, not fear. The fact is that good quality cattle receive premiums and that beef consumers are willing to pay you a good wage to produce it. We believe this market isn’t going to change anytime soon based off of cattle facts. Cattle on feed numbers being down 2-3%, herd expansion is gradually slow, tight supplies and lingering drought in some regions will keep those numbers tight while expansion efforts continue. This year’s group of bulls and replacement heifers offer top quality breed leading performing genetics to keep us and other cattlemen ahead of the forefront. Our mindset for over 20 years has been simple. Breed cattle that are built good from the ground up, functionally sound, eye appealing, with plenty of muscle and guts and still offer strong maternal traits. The Angus bulls and Angus females in the offering have been AGI genomically tested for DNA. We feel this helps create real value both to us and our customers. This gives us foresight and helps take the guess work out of choosing inaccurate sires or genetics. We are very passionate about our cowherd and our program. More importantly we’re very humbled to have been able to meet and work with so many families over the years. It’s because of you and your support that we’re able to continue to do what we love doing. Our family is dedicated to this business and to our customers. We gladly stand behind our bulls that we sell and are proud to offer a shared first season breeding guarantee on bulls that sell for $5000 on up. We will have a nice group of private treaty angus bulls available once the sale is over with in the event someone still needs a bull. All of the bulls will be semen checked and will pass a breeding soundness exam prior to leaving the farm. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to set up a time to view our offering.
We look forward to your visit! The Oswald Family

ANGUS BULLS
A sale featured son of the popular up and coming Genex sire, Bear Mountain North Star. Produced from a first-calf heifer, he recorded a weaning weight on September 2 of 824 pounds with no creep. This powerfully constructed 6-plus-frame son of North Star is extremely stout, stands on a solid, square foot, has ample bone and muscle shape and a super wide top from front to back. The maternal side of this bull’s pedigree is flawless and descends from some of our top- producing Pathfinder cows in recent years. Lots of power in the blood with this guy. This bull ranks in the top 2% for weaning and top 1% for yearling weight in the Angus breed. He offers 16 traits in the top one-third of the breed. We feel this bull offers as many top EPD traits for cattlemen producing high- performing cattle, while still offering very strong maternal traits and not sacrificing foot quality, hair shed or carcass value as any bull we’ve raised to date! A sale featured son of the Gail 1915 sold to Ron Skarda for $9750 in last year’s sale, along with a maternal sister to the dam of Lot 1 siring a bull that sold to Jeff and Bruce Bellamy also for $9750 in last year’s sale.

ANGUS BULLS
Sired by the $300,000 Rise Above. This 6-plus-frame powerhouse son of Rise Above has been a true standout since birth. He’s developed into one heck of a bull and we are beyond proud to offer him in this sale. His foot size, claw shape and angle are all very good. He has ample bone and a smooth shoulder coupled with a slick hair coat. He should be an awfully good cow maker judging by his dam and grandams’ production record. This highly-maternal bull ranks in the top 1% for weaning, top 4% for yearling weight and top 1% $M, while offering 16 traits in the top one-third of the breed. Be sure to check him out—he’s one of our overall favorites to sell this year.

Another growthy 6-plus-frame, high- maternal son of the popular Rise Above. It’s hard to take your eye off this bull when in the bull pen for he offers as much phenotype and power as any bull in the sale this year. Produced from a front- pasture 12-year-old Pathfinder dam that’s done a very good job for us. Maternal brothers have sold to Duffy Farms, Willow Creek Ranch, and Steve Sandquist, while 3 daughters have been retained in-herd. Ranks in the top 4% for weaning and top 15% for yearling. Records 11 traits in the top one-third of the breed. If you’re looking to add value at weaning or wanting to retain heifers, this is a bull we highly recommend.

ANGUS BULLS
This 6-plus-frame son of Rise Above was produced from a first-calf Sterling Bond heifer. The grandmother and great- grandmother are a few of our top cows in the herd and have produced many of our top-selling bulls in prior years. Recorded a weaning weight of 774 pounds and ratioed 105. A very uniform, docile, well-made bull that stands on a great foot. This bull will also be 18 months at turnout and should easily handle 20 cows. If you’re looking to increase performance, phenotype, and docility in your cattle, this bull should do those 3 things very well.

Sired by Kraye Pure Country. This late January 6-plus-frame bull has performed very well. He’s been a standout since birth. This is our first set of Pure Country sons to sell. Kraye Pure Country was a leadoff bull we purchased in the Kraye Angus sale in 2024. We purchased him because of how powerfully constructed he is built from the ground up. He offers more bone, a big square hip and strong lower quarter, a perfect foot, ample volume, and phenotype while offering a strong, balanced set of EPDs. Pure Country, without a doubt, has a top-performing, strong line of maternal cows behind him. Also noted, Pure Country’s dam has averaged over $18,000 in sales the last 2 years. This bull’s 5-year-old dam is off to a great start. Her first 2 sons have sold to Chava Trujillo and Jake Lupkes. His 12-year-old grandam is a Pathfinder and also the dam to the Lot 4 bull. Our front cover pictured bull. This guy is very well-constructed, 6-frame, square-made son of our Kraye Pure Country herd bull. He’s pretty hard to fault from a structure/phenotype perspective. I don’t know what we would change about him. He will add bone, muscle shape, volume and strong maternal traits. Along with that he combinines strong weaning and yearling weight EPDs ranking him in the top 25% of the breed. He will be 18 months at turnout and his feet are nearly perfect. One of my personal favorite bulls in the sale. This 6 plus frame bull’s 4-year-old mother is one of our favorite cows in the herd! Grandmother is also one of our favorites. Udder quality and strong performance traits are in this bull’s blood. This 6-plus-frame bull offers a very nice spread on calving ease to weaning and yearling weight. He offers 18 traits in the top one- third of the breed. His genomics read very well on paper and his calves should command top dollar. Strong maternal genetics, performance, and phenotype are a few of his top qualities. A maternal brother sold to Willow Creek Ranch in our 2025 sale for $8500. Be sure to look him up. Another very nicely-made 6-plus-frame son of Pure Country that descends from the Blackbird cow family. If you need a bull that will add some stretch and frame in your cattle while offering strong weaning and yearling performance, this bull should work well. His 4-year-old dam has done her job well and is off to a great start. She’s maintained a short calving window while producing 2 bulls her first 2 years while AIing back early again this year. Very complete and powerfully structured best describe this 6-frame Pure Country son. His 4-year-old dam is off to a very good start for us and now has produced 3 bulls for us. Last year she produced a son that sold to John Glynn at Centerville for $7000. This year she has an Ellingson Declare son that’s a standout at 2 weeks of age. The Queen Idelette 2506 cow was a Pathfinder cow. If you want a bull to keep daughters out of while adding performance and a nice profile look, this bull should work excellent for that. The last Angus bull in this year’s sale is a 6-frame son of Stunner 2101. His sire may be the best daughter-making bull we’ve ever owned or used in our program. The first-calf heifers we have by him are very attractive, big bodied, have added muscle shape, breed early, handle easy, calve easy and milk exceptionally well. We highly recommend these Stunner 2101 sons for retaining heifers and building a herd with. This bull’s maternal grandam produced our top-selling bull to High Point Genetics in our 2022 sale for $17,100. The leadoff 2 Sim-Angus bulls are also paternal brothers and are very well liked. Much like the Lot 22, this Stunner son may offer a tick less frame but has the same overall muscle shape, cow power and phenotype as the Lot 22. This early-maturing Stunner 2101 son has been fun to watch grow this year. He, too, has a full sister that is a first-calf heifer that’s been retained and is doing a great job raising her calf as well. Over the last 20-plus years of selling bulls, this bull’s cow family has sold as many upper-class bulls as any cow family we own. On top of that, we’ve retained as many females as well. We really like this bull and his friendly disposition and feel you will as well. If you need a pair of Sim-Angus bulls, the Lots 22 and 23 would be a great pair.

This baldy son of TJ Chief is really a stud when you view him from all angles—he’s just pretty hard to fault. In the flesh, he may be as good as any bull in the sale. His baldy dam is a front- pasture type of cow and has done a great job for us. His grandmother is 13 and is still in the herd doing a great job. Three maternal brothers have sold for an average of $6000. If you need a bull to add some bone, muscle shape, growth, maternal, and like baldies, this bull should do just that. This flashy baldy heifer sired by TJ Chief isn’t easy to part with. We feel she’s as good and powerful as any heifer we’ve ever raised and will stop you in your tracks. She would be donor potential for many Simmental breeders. Barbara 55 was produced from a beautiful uddered KR Mojo first-calf heifer and weaned off heavy at 762 pounds with no creep. Her young dam also has a heifer calf on her side and a full sister to the dam has also been retained in the herd. Barbara 55 recorded the heaviest weaning weight of our entire 2025 heifer crop and ratioed 121 at weaning. The maternal grandam and great-grandam of the Barbara cow family have been very solid-producing cows for us year in and year out, and typically raise our top Sim Angus calves every year. It will be difficult to find a Sim Angus heifer at any auction in the country this time of year with the look, performance, docility, volume and sheer power that she offers. The great-grandmother was purchased from High Point Genetics as a bred heifer, while the foundation cow descended from Ernie and Tammy Wallace in their dispersal over 20 years ago. We’re very confident in this heifer’s future as a seedstock-producing cow and or as a show heifer. Be sure to check her out! Here’s a flashy, eye-catching gem by TJ Chief. A maternal sister was last year’s top-selling heifer for $7250 to Duffy Farms in Nebraska. We really like the Chief daughters and feel they just keep getting better with age. The great-grandam at 13 years of age is still in production for us, and has been as solid-producing cow as any cow we’ve ever owned. The Lot 25 heifer and this Lot 27 heifer share the same grandmother who my daughter, Kathlena, showed in 2018 and again for cow-calf in 2019. Be sure to look her up on sale day; we think she will make an awfully nice cow to build a herd off of and produce show-quality genetics.

The last of the four Chief daughters. This brockle-faced, deep-bodied, phenotypic gem carries with her a very feminine front third yet, is very stout in her design and is very good in her hip and tailhead set. We feel this heifer would make a very nice show heifer and her long-term qualities would definitely include raising and selling show calves. Countless sons of the Prairie cow family have sold very well for us over the years, and all have had the phenotype, power, and performance to take them to the next level.

A Pure Country daughter that is sure to catch your eye when viewing the heifers. The 5-year- old Capitalist 316 dam is one of our nicest 5-year-old cows. A maternal brother sold to Jeff and Bruce Bellamy for $9750 in last year’s sale. The 7-year-old 1915 grandam is probably one of our top 5 cows in our herd and produced our Lot 8 Growth Fund bull that sold to Ron Skarda for $9750 in last year’s sale. Also, the dam to the Lot 1 bull in this year’s sale is a maternal sister to the dam of this heifer. Both the 2111 and 1915 cows have very nice heifer calves on their side this year; otherwise, this heifer probably wouldn’t be in our sale. Udder quality, phenotype, maternal strength and performance are all bred into this heifer. Be sure to look her up on sale day—we think she will be a great addition to any herd.
