livestock LIVESTOCK SHOWMANSHIP FFA youth compete in showmanship contests to demonstrate their ability to present animals with skill and professionalism. Exhibits highlight their animal’s strengths through hours of practice, daily care, and grooming. Separate contests are held for beef, sheep, swine, goats, poultry, and rabbits. These livestock projects are part of each member’s SAE - where they apply what they learn in the classroom to their animal enterprise. Along with different areas such as welding projects, range boards, crops, honey, floral arrangements, and more. These hands-on exhibits reflect real-world learning from over 200 Nebraska FFA chapters and 10,000 members who work hard to develop their premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. The 2025 Fair is a place for students to compete, connect, and explore future careers in agriculture. T he Nebraska State Fair gives FFA members a chance to showcase skills learned in the agricultural education classroom and their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs. Fairgoers will see students exhibiting livestock such as dairy, beef, hogs, sheep, and goats.

LIVESTOCK LIVE EVALUATION FFA youth from across Nebraska will compete in livestock shows featuring beef, sheep, swine, goats, poultry, and rabbits. Breeding and market divisions are offered for beef, sheep, swine, and goats, along with feeder calf classes. Market exhibitors aim to qualify for the FFA Grand Drive, while breeding projects give youth a chance to start their own herds and learn about raising livestock for production.project is to learn about raising livestock for meat production.
