Projects in science, consumer management, expressive arts, foods and nutrition, horticulture, photography and many more highlight the hard work and accomplishments of 4-H youth. Every Day | All Day P 4-H/FFA Fieldhouse 4-H QUILTS OF VALOR PRESENTATION Youth participating in the Quilts of Valor project utilize sewing skills gained in the 4-H Clothing and Textiles project to complete a quilted blanket and donate it to a service member or veteran. Recognizes those who exhibit skills that apply knowledge of fibers and fabrics, wardrobe selection, clothing construction, or comparison shopping and understanding of style, good grooming and modeling and presentation of their garments. Saturday, August 23 | 9 a.m.; 11 a.m.; 1 p.m. P Raising Nebraska 4-H ROBOTICS SHOWCASE Youth engaged in the Robotics Showcase will demonstrate their robots programming and/ or show a video of their robot performing programmed functions. This is an interactive experience where members will be judged in a live setting. Saturday, August 23 | 5 p.m. P Raising Nebraska 4-H TECH CHANGEMAKERS Teens will be assisting adult participants in building their knowledge and skills related to digital literacy. Participants in the 4-H Insect Identification contest learn how to identify insects and learn about the biology and habits of insects. Learning these skills helps our leaders of tomorrow be prepared to deal with environmental issues in the future.
