THREAD REPAIR — KEENSERT ® INSERTS
Keenserts® are solid, one piece, key-locking inserts used to repair stripped or damaged threads in a variety of metals. The Keensert® locking “Kees” provide a positive mechanical lock, which prevents rotation due to vibration or torsion. Keenserts® are available in carbon steel, both in inch and metric series. Installation tools are also available separately. Typical Applications: Automobiles, Buses, Trucks, Heavy Equipment, Marine Equipment, Machinery, Tooling, Power Tools, Recreational Vehicles and Small Engines

EASY TO INSTALL:
Features: • Installed with standard drills and taps • No pre-winder tool required • No tang break-off
• Positive mechanical lock against rotation • Used in virtually any material: aluminum, magnesium, cast iron and steel • One length per size provides maximum pullout strength • Full range of inch and metric sizes • Available in thinwall and heavy duty thickwall styles • Easy to remove
Drive “Kees” down with several light taps on the installation tool.
Screw in insert until slightly below surface. “Kees” act as depth stop.
Tap new threads, using standard tap
Drill out old threads, using standard drill
