Insert Applications for ThreadSERT, RIVET NUT & Nutsert Tools CAUTION: Some tools may not work when using certain sizes and types of inserts. Read below for tool / insert applications. Not following these recommended applications may result in damage to the tool or an improper installation of the insert. All three tools below will pull nut serts, rivets nuts & threadserts, but not all sizes Nutsert Setting Tool — Part Numbers K47.800 and K47.850 These guns have limited capacities for pulling steel and aluminum threaded inserts. The following specifications are recommended by the manufacturer. This list of parts for inserts denotes the variations in material, types and sizes that are in the range of this tool for proper installation. Steel Nutserts 6-32 thru 1/4-20 and M3 thru M6 only Aluminum Threadserts 6-32 thru 3/8-16 Aluminum Rivet Nuts 6-32 thru 1/4-20 and M3 thru M8 only Steel Rivet Nuts 6-32 thru 1/4-20 and M3 thru M8 only Pop ® Threaded Insert Tool — Part Number F18732 & K71.121141FS This tool will install inserts from #10-24 thru 3/8-16 for the inch sizes and M5 thru M10 for the metric versions. This includes steel and aluminum materials. Threadsetter Tool — Part Number K47.0700 and K47.250 This gun also has a limited capacity for pulling threaded inserts in both steel and aluminum. The largest size for the installation of steel inserts is 1/4-20 in inch, and M6 in metric. This tool will install up to 3/8-16 and M10 in aluminum.
