Hand tools that are in our product line carry the manufacturer’s warranty and fall under that manufacturers guidelines and procedures. We reserve the right to deny any warranty claim until evaluated by the manufacturer(s). We may choose to replace the item or issue credit for the warranty item up front before manufacturer evaluation. In those cases, Winzer will charge the salesperson for the replacement, if the item is determined by the manufacturer to not be considered as warranty. Such cases could be abused or misused tools. We do not condone or support the abuse and misuse of hand tools and accept no responsibility on the abuse or misuse of these tools. For this reason, tools that have been abused or misused, will not be accepted under warranty. Abuse and misuse of tools causes accidents and bodily injury. Tools are designed to perform specific functions. Misuse and abuse may put stress and fatigue on a tool, which are beyond the design of the tool and when this happens the tool will break. Examples of misuse and abuse are : • Broken screwdriver tips and bent shanks are the result of using the screwdriver as a pry bar, punch or chisel. • A chrome socket with square drives that have rounded out corners and/or peened metal around the drive end show the normal signs of use on an impact or power wrench. Continued use on an impact wrench will cause the socket wall to crack or shatter. • Ratchet handles and wrenches that have been dented, grooved and broken indicate abuse with “cheater bars” or a hammer. • Plier handles that are bent or broken are the signs of prying or over torqueing.
