have with experienced local installers. Approved Installers are already appropriately registered, including Gas Safe engineers in Northern Ireland, and they also complete Flogas’s own onboarding and technical sign-off process. For homeowners, that provides another layer of reassurance. For installers, it means recognition, practical marketing support, local lead opportunities and access to the Flogas team when they need support. It is very much about strengthening the partnerships we already have and supporting high standards across the industry. What would you say to companies and individuals considering entering the Awards? I would encourage them to enter. People in this industry are often focused on getting the job done and looking after their customers, and they do not always stop to recognise the quality of the work they are doing. The Awards provide an opportunity to reflect on that work, recognise the people behind the business
Flogas has supported the Awards for more than 10 years - what has kept you involved? The Awards have become an important fixture in the NI plumbing and heating calendar, and Flogas is proud to have supported them for more than a decade. They give us a valuable opportunity to stay close to the industry, recognise good work and support the people and businesses who are helping shape the sector. That long- term connection is what keeps the partnership relevant for us year after year. It is a highly skilled sector, and the people working in it make an important contribution to homes, businesses and communities across Northern Ireland. The Awards are a chance to recognise the expertise, hard work and professionalism behind that work, particularly for many local businesses that have built strong reputations over years of good service. How has the industry evolved throughout your involvement in the Awards? The industry has become much broader and more technically demanding. Customers now

and showcase what has been achieved. Being shortlisted is an achievement and can also be a real boost for employees, customers and the wider business.
Tell us about Flogas’ relationships with installers & heating professionals Installers are often the people homeowners turn to first when they are considering changing their heating system, so they play a major role in the customer journey and in helping people understand the options available to them. That is one of the reasons we are introducing the Flogas Approved Installer Programme across NI and RoI. The programme gives a clearer structure to the relationships we already
have more choice, heating systems have become more sophisticated and there is a much greater focus on energy efficiency, sustainability and finding the right solution for each individual property. What has not changed is the importance of good workmanship, reliability and strong technical standards. The Awards have evolved alongside the industry and now provide a very strong showcase for the expertise, innovation and professionalism that exists across NI.
