SET TO BENEFIT FROM THE GREATER SCALE AND RESOURCES OF THE WELSH BUILDING MAINTENANCE PROVIDER, CTS IS TARGETING £100M TURNOVER ON THE ISLAND OF IRELAND… CTS to rebrand under Cardo Group

CTS has undergone a significant change in 2025 with its acquisition by Cardiff-based building maintenance provider Cardo Group. Founder and Chief Executive Connaire McGreevy stayed on board his company, which is benefitting from the scale offered by being part of a larger group. “This is a major move for us,” says Connaire. “Basically, looking into the future, regulation is getting tighter with the requirements for every contract - be it social value, H&S, compliance or IT - all increasing. While the numbers don’t stack up to carry that overhead as a small company, being part of a bigger group means we can share that. “Joining Cardo Group has also been a positive move for our staff. The younger generation want the

freedom to travel and work in different areas and, within a bigger group, we can retain staff by creating more opportunities. We have already seen a few people move around in both directions.” Connaire says his team has been critical to the success of the company to date. “Without people, we don’t have a business,” he says. “I have to pay tribute to my mother, Joan, who was employee number one and is still there today. “She has filled many roles and today leads out on all the new starts. Beyond that, there simply are too many to mention. My family played a bit part and now everyone is viewed as part of a wider family.” As CTS embarks on its chapter, it will be rebranding under the Cardo Group and fully integrating with

the Welsh firm’s processes across HR, training and operations. “This will be a super thing for all the staff,” says Connaire. “We will then target further growth, both organic and by acquisition, and in the next few years hopefully plot our way to £100m turnover on the island.” “The younger generation want the freedom to travel and work in different areas and, within a bigger group, we can retain staff by creating more opportunities.”
