C&F QUADRANT NI SUPPLIED THE AIC NESTA RANGE OF FLOOR-STANDING CONDENSING BOILERS, WHICH MAKES THE BEST USE OF AVAILABLE PLANT ROOM SPACE WHILE PROVIDING THE REQUIRED HEATING OUTPUT… Modern heating for Belfast Castle

One of Belfast’s most recognisable landmarks is benefiting from a modern heating upgrade, with C&F Quadrant NI supplying AIC Nesta floor-standing condensing boilers for the historic Belfast Castle. Overlooking the city from the slopes of Cave Hill, Belfast Castle is an important part of Belfast’s architectural heritage. Upgrading services within a building of this nature brings its own challenges, with modern heating requirements needing
to be met while working within the constraints of a historic property.
A key consideration for the Belfast Castle project was making the best possible use of the available plant room space while still providing the heating output required for the building. The solution was the AIC Nesta range of floor-standing condensing boilers, supplied by C&F Quadrant NI. Designed to deliver substantial heating outputs from a relatively small footprint, the Nesta range is available in outputs from 120kW to 1,260kW, while occupying just 0.5sqm of floor space. This makes it particularly well suited to projects such as Belfast Castle, where plant room space is at a premium. At the heart of the Nesta boiler is AIC’s Fire Tube stainless steel heat exchanger, designed to combine high efficiency with long-term reliability. The boilers have also been developed with ongoing maintenance in mind, incorporating self-cleaning flue ways and providing straightforward access for servicing. The result is a compact heating solution capable of meeting the demands of commercial applications without taking up unnecessary plant room space – an important advantage for refurbishment

projects where existing layouts can limit the options available to contractors and specifiers. The Belfast Castle project also demonstrates how modern heating technology can be successfully incorporated into historic and existing buildings, providing an efficient and reliable solution while making the most of the space available. For larger commercial and industrial applications, AIC also offers the Nesta Plus range, with outputs extending from 280kW to 1260kW. This provides a broad choice of solutions for projects ranging from commercial refurbishments through to high-demand industrial installations.
For C&F Quadrant NI, the Belfast Castle installation provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the AIC Nesta range on a prominent Northern Ireland project. Combining high heating outputs, a compact footprint, stainless steel construction and ease of maintenance, the new boilers provide Belfast Castle with a modern heating solution while making efficient use of valuable plant room space. It’s a fitting upgrade for one of Northern Ireland’s most distinctive landmarks, bringing modern heating technology into a building that has been part of Belfast’s landscape for generations.
