ASMS delivers complex Cork install
Northern Ireland’s gas industry has reinforced the vital role of qualified heating engineers as part of Gas Safety Week 2026. Held over September 14-20 under the theme Take No Chances, the annual campaign put gas safety firmly in the spotlight. Phoenix Energy and Evolve were among local organisations supporting the campaign, emphasising the importance of ensuring gas work is carried out by appropriately- qualified, Gas Safe-registered engineers. For installers, the campaign provides an important reminder that registration must be backed up by the correct qualifications for the particular type of gas work being undertaken. Engineers should also continue to encourage customers to have appliances regularly checked and ensure flues and ventilation remain clear and carbon monoxide alarms are correctly installed and tested. In NI, it is a legal requirement for anyone carrying out gas work covered by the relevant regulations to be competent and registered with Gas Safe Register. www.gassaferegister.co.uk NI installers back Gas Safety Week
