OUR STORY Texarkana Funeral Home began in the days when the downtown area was the thriving heart of the city. The downtown Federal Building was only four years old and what we now know as the Perot Theater was referred to as the Saenger Theater. The year was 1939 and Howard Fuqua along with Harry L. Everett established Texarkana Funeral Home on 6th and Main Streets in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Downtown Texarkana. The staff worked hard, establishing a
reputation built on trust, resulting in more and more families choosing Texarkana Funeral Home to guide them through their time of need. December 1966, Texarkana Funeral Home opened a new larger facility on Texas Boulevard. Thomas H. Fuqua Jr. joined the team and with the help of Robert D. Cowley Jr., the Fuqua and Everett families continued to provide the area with sound advice and caring service at times of personal loss. Soon Texarkana Funeral Home became the largest funeral home in the four states region.
