BPP University Law School prospectus 2020/21

Courses to accelerate your legal career.

The route to becoming a solicitor is changing.

Becoming a solicitor Once you’ve completed your law degree or conversion course, we’ll provide you with the preparation to secure a training contract and start your career in professional practice. Taught through simulated client portfolios, you’ll develop in-depth legal knowledge, commercial awareness and practical skills.

Converting to law If you’re a non-law graduate, our law conversion courses are your first step to becoming a solicitor or barrister. You’ll gain the fundamental legal knowledge and professional skills you need to progress onto further training.

Our new Law Conversion Course (PGDL) has been designed following extensive research with law firms and aspiring law students. Upon completion, you’ll have the option to progress onto the LPC, or undertake one of our SQE preparation courses. * However, in the meantime, the GDL and LPC route remains valid and highly regarded by legal employers. To find out what the SQE means for you, visit bpp.com/SQE

We’re introducing new courses to prepare students for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), an assessment that all aspiring solicitors will soon be required to pass. The changes are being implemented by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), with the first SQE assessment scheduled to be available from Autumn 2021 at the earliest.
