Avery Dennison Corporation was recently recog- nized on Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies List, moving up a rank since the index was first launched in February 2018. The list acknowledges leading U.S. companies, assessed for environmental, social, and corporate governance factors. Barron’s, a U.S-based publication covering the finan- cial and investment industries, developed the list last year in collaboration with Calvert Research and Man- agement.The organization looked at the 1,000 largest publicly held companies with headquarters in the United States. The naming committee looked at 300 sustainability performance indicators. Among them were business ethics and product safety, greenhouse gas emissions and human rights, workplace diversity, and labor relations.
