These were applied and evaluated across contractors involved in the construction of the Park and it was found that the safety culture scores for these companies 'were far higher than the highest scores in the HSE's 'all industry' dataset'', indicating a positive safety culture in the park. 12 F xiii

Reward and Recognition for Workers

There was a requirement for Tier One contractors to implement a behavioural safety management system. This included having an open 'no blame' culture, and implementing initiatives which would incentivise personnel to perform work safely. Mechanisms for rewarding and recognising workers included:  Pin badges for worker contributions;  Specially made t-shirts;  Monthly SHELT (HS&E Leadership Team) awards;  ODA Annual Awards;  Free BBQS; and  Breakfast vouchers. 13 F xiv
