and because we matter to God. Finding a church. With all the churches we have in our neighborhoods, you might think that it would be the easiest and most natural thing in the world for an ex-inmate to find one where he can feel comfortable and productive. But you’d be wrong. For all sorts of reasons, bridging back into a church community is tough for lots of us. It isn’t for lack of wanting that to happen. Spirit-led people. And people who know how to love others. —Volney
A church that is built wholly on the truth of the Bible. I want to be encircled with people who do all they can when it comes to helping others. —Doaikah One that is fundamentally sound in doctrine, by preaching and of the Bible. —Robert A church that will show me the love they have for God and to help me grow in the Word. —Timothy Fellowship, guidance, sharing of the word of all, everyone’s opinion. —Earl The gospel. There’s a lot of churches wanting to preach pros- perity, gimmicks, social gospel, psycho-babble, but only a few preach the true and living resurrection of Christ, and the free gift of eternity. —Jose Bible, love, fellowship, faith, patience, understanding, broth- ers, sisters, something that will make me feel that that’s where I’m supposed to be, that’s my home. I want smiles, laughter, being able to sing for the Lord and shout “Amen, Glory to God!” Having the opportunity to speak to every- one around me!The real feeling of love. —Wilfredo
