Dear Cotillion Participants, Families, and Supporters,
As we gather here tonight, we are filled with a profound sense of gratitude for each and every one of you who has contributed to the success of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Akron Alumnae Chapter's 40th Les Belles Perles Debutante Cotillion. This year-long journey has been a labor of love, dedication, and collaboration, and we are incredibly thankful for your unwavering support. It is with mixed emotions that we extend our deepest gratitude while also acknowledging the void left by the passing of our dear co-chair, Mrs. Margaret Ann Roberts. Her untimely departure was a heavy blow to all of us, and we continue to feel the impact of her absence during this significant process. Mrs. Roberts was not just a co-chair; she was a mother, friend, sister, mentor, and she was a passionate advocate for the Cotillion program, pouring her heart and soul into its success. Her absence is felt keenly, but we carry her spirit with us as we navigate the challenges and celebrations of this event. In the face of adversity, we have found strength in each other and in the shared commitment to uphold the legacy of the Akron Alumnae Chapter's Les Belles Perles Cotillion. Mrs. Roberts would have wanted us to press on, to honor the tradition she cherished so dearly. As we reflect on the past year, we are reminded of the resilience and determination that defines the spirit of our community. Working with the remarkable young ladies who have participated in this year's Cotillion has been an absolute honor. Their grace, intelligence, and dedication have left an indelible mark on all of us, and we are confident that they will continue to shine bright in all their future endeavors. Tonight, is not just a celebration of debutantes but a celebration of community, resilience, and the enduring spirit of Mrs. Roberts. We are immensely proud to have worked alongside you all in crafting this beautiful tradition, and we look forward to many more years of fostering grace, elegance, and community connection.
Thank you for being an integral part of this journey and let us continue to celebrate the legacy of the Akron Alumnae Chapter's Debutante Cotillion with pride and gratitude.
Warmest Regards, Your Cotillion Co-Chairs Carolyn O. Brown Shayla Brown Dandridge Lori Al Amin
