Debutante Miss Kaylin Rose Daniels

K aylin Rose Daniels is the daughter of Mrs. Linda K. Daniels and Mr. O’Dell Daniels, Jr. Kaylin attends Akron Early College High School . Kaylin has been on the Merit and Honor Roll. She is involved in the Akron NAACP Youth Council as Vice President, Student Council, Black Student Union, Freshman Mentor Leadership Team, Educational Talent Search, Law and Leadership, 3.0 Club, and is on the Dean’s List for University of Akron. Her community involvement includes serving as a volunteer at Camp Invention, Akron General Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Akron-Canton Foodbank, African American Festival, Salvation Army, the National Inventors Hall of Fame Camp Invention, and the Paint By Numbers Ball. Kaylin enjoys playing the piano, spending time with friends and family, listening to new music and volunteering in the community. When asked why she wanted to become a debutante, she replied, "I want to become a debutante because it would help me socially, I can meet many people and make connections. I know being a debutante would help me grow personally, by finding who I am and establishing my confidence when applying myself in the world. Another reason I would like to be a debutante is because of the scholarship opportunities.” In letters of recommendation, Kaylin is described as a true leader and self-motivated. She is always positive and willing to help her classmates. She leads with great energy and is prepared with ideas and solutions regarding equity, inclusion and civic justice.

Upon graduation, Kaylin plans to attend Clark Atlanta University and study biology.
