Debutante Miss Makenzie Denise Johnson

M akenzie Denise Johnson is the daughter of Mrs. Karla D. Hill and Mr. Marcus L. Johnson. She attends Archbishop Hoban High School, is on the Honor Roll and is involved in the Black Student Union, Student’s Aid, the Dance Team, Peer Mentoring, the Female Empowerment Club and is a Student Ambassador. Makenzie enjoys working, dancing, going to church every Sunday, shopping, exploring different places with her friends, spending time with f amily, and trying new restaurants. In the community, she lends her time volunteering for food drives, participating in the Mychal Clayton Sickle Cell Walk, the Toys for Tots Toy D rive and Food Insecure of Summit County. When asked why she wanted to become a debutante, she replied, “I would like to be a debutante for the experience and to be a part of something that will help me grow as a young adult . T he experience will give me information as I am interested in joining a sorority when I go to college.” In letters of recommendation, Makenzie is described as an excellent student and displays a positive attitude and mature demeanor in her interactions. She is ambitious and a hard worker. Mackenzie is an independent thinker who goes above and beyond what is expected of her.

Upon graduation, Makenzie plans to attend Howard University and study nursing.
