Who am I, and why? Where do I come from, and where do I go? Some say that I come from the dust, and there must return, •Other! Now Comes the Anti-Bible Society . The Anti-Bible Society, with headquarters in New York City, is now an incorporated organization. Its aim as stated in its literature is as follows: “The object of the American Anti-Bible Society is to dis credit the Bible. . . ., “In pursuance of that object, it will publish and distribute anti-biblical literature; hold meetings and debates on the Bible; broadcast lectures telling the truth about the book; agitate for the repeal of laws enforcing its religious teachings; translate anti-biblical works into foreign languages and publish them for world-wide distribution; establish state and local branches; and, by propaganda, bar the Bible from the public school'; dislodge it from guest rooms in hotels; discourage its use at guberna torial and presidential inaugurations; remove it from the witness I stand; check and ultimately, stop its unsolicited distribution among soldiers,.¡seamen, patients,, and prisoners, and counteract the. work of societies circulating it as the word of God. “In educating the. American people concerning this book, we shall make known its human origin, evolutionary formation, and discreditable history; expose its immoral and barbaric contents, and lay bare its anti-scientific, anti-liberal, and irrational teach ings.’’ l i t . The society is' soliciting not only members, but the patronage of all who desire anti-biblical literature, all profit to be used for propaganda. , We cannot slumber longer and let such, organizations as thfe A. A. A. A. and the A. A. B. S. sow the country down to Satanic literature. This flood of filth must be met by constructive, wholesome Bible literature, and we as Christians must put it into circulation. Watch this page each month and enroll at once in the B. B. B. B .! Even Hollywood Doesn’t Want I t ! O F all places on earth that the Junior Atheist Associa tion might have considered fertile soil to sow its seeds, would be the Hollywood, California, High School. Sneaking in at night, their workers left in all.the students lockers invitations to a meeting for organization. Many of the high school students have not been noted for being religious, but one thing they would not stand for, and that was irreligión. When it came to blasphemous statements concerning the Christianity of their fathers and mothers, they would not tolerate it. A movement was on foot to mob the Atheistic meet ing, when it was decided that the wisest method was to ignore it. However, a few students attended, and when the meeting was open for testimony, according to The Lós Angeles Times, one arose and said: “My folks believe the Bible, and so far as I can see all great and good men do, so why shouldn’t I ?” With that he marched out, followed ¡by several others. --O-- Two School Girls—A Contrast The Los Angeles School Journal publishes a poem written by a girl student of Lincoln High School. It is ;an index to the thinking of many young people and a direct challenge to Christians to see to it . that thev get .the right answers to-their queries: — ° — Where peacefulness mingles with- joy, A Just far enough out to be pleasant— ; Where trivial things don’t annoy.. I often drift back to this garden, And there, ’neath the shade of the trees, I walk with a Loving Companion, And list’ to the chant of the breeze. None other is just so believing, ' None other is quite so sincere; There’s no place I’d rather go walking, And no one. I’d rather be near. Each word that He utters is soothing, Each glance is a comfort to me; He watches with cape lest I stumble, And holds to my hand tenderly, We often just rest by the flowers, Or drink Of the fountains that flow; We speak or disturb not the silence, For always do both of us know. I tell Him the things in my heart, and He listens, with patience, all through. He gives kind advice and new courage; Oh, He is so loving and true. I love to go back to this garden, I know that this Friend will be there, So oft’ you will find me with Jesus, Content in the garden of prayer. —o— What Are We Doing About It? I T is said that there were those in France who so hated religion that they had tattooed upon their arms the letters spelling, “Against God.” That seems to be the spirit of the leaders of organized Atheism in America, judging by their writings. They hurl the charge of fanaticism against all who believe in Christ, yet no better examples of fanaticism
