The prices are $1.50 and $2.50, re spectively. These two books by Dr. de Vriès are very suggestive and helpful. They repre sent thé theological and philosophical positions taken by the late Dr. Kuyper of Holland who is not so- well, known in this country ;as we should like. There fore, we are pleased that his pupil and admirer, Dr. de Vries, has given to us these fine expositions of our Lord ; the one on the great, problem of the person of the Lord and the other on His offices of Prophet, Priest and King. We very warmly commend these to careful students who are anxious to get a well-balanced and illuminating insight into the work and person of JeSus Christ. _ o _ - J . M. M. Around the Lord’s Table B y D r . F rank ; M. G oodchild Dr. Goodchild in this splendid volume passes on to his brethren in the ministry a collection of addressès preparatory to the Lord’s supper. Dr. Goodchild be lieves that the devotional preparation of believers for partaking, of 'tommunion is a very great necessity. Ministers, willij find thoughts in these addresses that will be most helpful, and laymen who desire something that will put them in a devo tional state of mind and heart as they approach the communion seascin will find them of great benefit. Dr. Goodchild deals with the origin, history, and mean ing of the Lord’s Supper, and takes up the various aspects' of truth which it suggests; Revell is the publisher, the price being $1.50—1K„ L. He is- the author of “Thoughts in His Prés ence,” also a valuable book dealing with the tabernacle: “The Tabernacle and Its' Teachings.” We are glad to have from, his pèn this beautiful volume of short expositions of • comforting passages of Scripture. Marshall Brothers of London are the publishers. The book seems to be intended almost entirely-as one of en couragement and help. We know that these writings will be blessed to many who toil on rugged roads of life, and we trust it may find its way -¿into many Christian homes as a gift book. The American price is ,$1.75—K. L.
