Beech Leaf Disease

CAUSES : Beech Leaf Disease is linked to a microscopic nematode ( Litylenchus crenatae ), which disrupts leaf development in American beech and other beech species . HOW TO IDENTIFY : Look for dark bands between leaf veins , thickened or puckered leaves , and canopy thinning . Symptoms often start in the lower canopy and spread upward . IF LEFT UNTREATED : Infected trees experience severe leaf loss , reduced vigor , and can die within several years , especially younger trees . TREATMENTS : While no definitive cure exists yet , promoting tree health through proper watering and mulching slows progression . We commonly recommend Deep Root Feeding of Liquid Compost Extract .
