Forty-five OAs, International OAs (IOAs – alumni of the College’s overseas partnership schools) and members of staff met for drinks in the Harold Lee Room at Pembroke College. Dinner took place in the Hall and following three excellent courses and a rendition of Pueri Alleynienses, guests received College and Club updates from Alasdair Kennedy (Deputy Master Academic) and the President, Dr Colin Niven OBE (52-60; Fellow). Thirty-one Old Alleynians and staff gathered at St John’s College on the evening of Friday 28 February and were delighted to welcome three IOAs from the Dulwich College schools in Beijing and Shanghai who are now studying at Cambridge. The Master delivered a lively update on recent events at the College and the President (an alumnus of Caius College) shared a selection of humorous stories from his time at Dulwich and Cambridge. Dr George Reid (51-59), Head of the Office of Intercollegiate Services and former Senior Bursar of St John’s, delivered a witty and thoughtful reply on behalf of the University.
