VERDECARES SERVICES TO SUPPORT OUR VERDE RESIDENTS
Within the Verde River community, VerdeCares volunteers provide medical transportation, prescription errands, meal delivery, medical equipment, medication and wound management, nurse wellness visits, home safety assessments, caregiver respite, and additional resources as needed. Our Alzheimer’s monthly caregiver support group provides education and available resources to caregivers. FLU VACCINE CLINIC VerdeCares has partnered with Albertsons/Safeway to provide our Verde Communities with Flu Vaccine Clinics. Tonto Verde’s clinic is set for Thursday, November 14th, in the Acacia Room. For more information on how to make an appointment and what to bring, visit the VerdeCares website at www.verdecares.org and click on the Flu Vaccine clinic button. If you need help creating an appointment, contact your VerdeCares office at 480-471-8944. Save the Date On Saturday, December 7th, Rio Verde Fire District Station 441 will host its annual pancake breakfast, with the proceeds benefiting VerdeCares. Bring a new toy, new children’s clothing item, or packaged non-perishable food item to benefit Operation Santa Claus. There will be lots of fun, prizes, and raffle golf certificates from Rio, Tonto, Trilogy, The Westin Kierland, and Troon golf clubs. VERDECARES IS HERE FOR YOU, AND BECAUSE OF YOU VerdeCares is an Arizona Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO) with the QCO code 22644. This means that we can now participate in the Arizona Tax Credit program, which allows our community members to redirect their tax dollars to support our mission of being here for you when you need us. This program provides a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your Arizona state income tax, allowing for contributions of up to $470 for individual filers and $938 for joint filers. We appreciate your support! You are helping us move forward in unity to meet the evolving needs as we age in place in our desert oasis. Cont. pg. 6
