bucket is built for the real world: fines-heavy material streams, tight spaces, and reinforced concrete that doesn’t arrive ‘clean’.” ALLU is also continuing to develop its established screening technology. The ALLU Variable Drum makes changing shafts, blades, and output configurations easier, allowing one attachment to adapt to different projects. Its TSR (Top Screen Rapid) blade technology is designed to make individual blade replacement faster and reduce maintenance downtime. Relevance to Africa For the African market, ALLU sees an opportunity to increase the productivity of existing fleets rather than simply adding more equipment. “It is not simply about selling another bucket,” says Grönholm. “It is about giving an excavator or loader additional processing capability and bringing that processing power directly to the material.” That proposition is relevant to construction, road building, quarrying, mining, demolition and recycling operations, where reducing material handling and improving equipment utilisation can have a direct effect on operating costs. Rather than automatically transporting material to a stationary processing plant or adding another machine to the jobsite, contractors can screen, crush or otherwise process material at the source and potentially reuse it immediately. “Forty years of innovation is not about chasing ‘new’. It is about making work simpler and more profitable where the material actually is,” Grönholm says. b
