If you haven’t visited Catalina Spa and RV Resort in Desert Hot Springs, California for a while, you’ll have some surprises. Head your RV into the resort and tour the new clubhouse, the store with patio, and a professional fitness center. This is in addition to the other amenities like the relaxing spa, water aerobics and water volleyball. All the while enjoying the free electricity, water, and basic Wi-Fi, no matter how long you stay. Join the fun in the fast-paced game of pickle ball on one of the six newly refinished courts under the direction of the Pickle Ball Coordinator. The coordinator will provide instruction for beginners, help the experienced with new challenges, coordinate a USAPA sponsored team play tournament, and sponsor Round Robin play throughout the season. For those who prefer something less strenuous, at the clubhouse, join in various games of cards including Hand & Foot, Card Bingo, Pinochle, Poker, and Rummy. Throw in games of Mexican Train to the mix as well.

Catalina Spa recently debuted its new playground, part of the revamped Kids Zone. Families can enjoy picnicking, bocce ball, and a free unlimited 18-hole mini golf course. During the winter season, Catalina also sponsors horseshoes and bocce ball tournaments. And there’s more. Like music? Jam with music and sit through live music entertainment. Have fun at the happy hour welcome, wine tasting, and karaoke. To answer, “What shall we do today?” Catalina Spa provides day trip directions to many local outings you can take by car, like Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs Tramway, Map of the Stars, and many more. Discover a piece of Greater Palm Springs history at Cabot’s Pueblo Museum, with Hopi-inspired pueblo housing artifacts, photographs, and other historic items from homesteader Cabot Yerxa’s life. The pueblo structure is handmade, created from reclaimed and found objects that Cabot gathered for 10 years. The Pueblo is four-stories, 5,000 square feet, and includes 35 rooms, 150 windows, and 65 doors.
