With Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens and Mount Adams forming a triangle around Maple Grove Resort in Randle, Washington, adventure is never very far away. With amenities such as a 9-hole golf course, this isn't your typical RV resort. The nearby mountains provide opportunities to participate in all high-terrain sports, particularly snow skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. There are many hiking, ATVing, horseback riding, and biking trails, too. Maple Grove is located on 1,400 feet of the Cowlitz River, so pull in, hook up, and make Maple Grove the headquarters for your next fishing trip. The gorgeous Cispus River, with its stunning falls and extreme whitewater kayaking, also flows just a few miles away. The Cowlitz River is the number one steelhead producer in the state of Washington for winter and summer run steelhead. The area has an abundance of wildlife including deer, bald eagles, osprey, and blue heron. In addition, there are more than 60 lakes within 40 miles of the resort.
Although the nearby scenery and water fun is amazing, the resort amenities and activities will keep you busy. Amenities include an indoor pool and hot tub, basketball, volleyball, a 9-hole golf course, horseshoes, and a playground. An adult clubhouse adds to your visit, while the kids can enjoy their own clubhouse with pool table and other amenities. During the summer season, special kids’ activities are planned. Meet new friends at the community fire pit. Take advantage of the 50-amp electrical and Wi-Fi at your site. Located nearby in southwest Washington, the Gifford Pinchot National Forest encompasses 1,368,300 acres of forests, mountains, river valleys, waterfalls, wildernesses, and volcanoes. The forest has three main geographic areas to visit including Cowlitz Valley Ranger District, Mount Adams Ranger District, and Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument and District. From the resort you can take the service road into the national forest.
