Although Niagara’s Lazy Lakes Resort is within minutes of one of the greatest natural wonders, it may not be the most important thing about staying at the Lockport, New York resort. Located in the heart of Niagara County, Lazy Lakes Resort is known as “Western New York’s Best Kept Secret,” just 15 minutes from Niagara Falls and 10 minutes from the Niagara River and Lake Ontario. Lazy Lakes Resort has two spring-fed lakes for boating and fishing. You’ll find largemouth bass, sunfish, and catfish in both ponds. The largest pond is full of big bass for catch- and-release fishing. No fishing license is needed because you're on private property. For no fee you can take out the row boats, kayaks, canoes, or splash boats. Life jackets, boats, and paddles can be checked out at the Country Store free of charge. The 4,000 square-foot main lodge is available for numerous resort activities for all ages. Enjoy breakfast in the lodge on Saturday and Sunday, as well as weekend barbecues in the outdoor pavilion. All campsites have city water, 30-amp or 50-amp electric hook-ups, picnic tables, and fire rings for your campfires. Should you forget WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF NIAGARA FALLS
to bring something, the “Country Store” at Lazy Lakes is well stocked. For your pleasure, enjoy the two heated salt- water pools, shuffleboard, row boating, and horseshoes. Nine cabins are available to rent year-round including one studio, four one-bedroom, and four two-bedroom cabins. They are beautiful and “State of the Art.” Niagara’s Lazy Lakes Resort amenities include an activity center, four bathhouses, two laundry facilities, security, and three dump stations. You can also visit nearby Lockport and a portion of the Erie Canal. The canal is considered to be the greatest artificial curiosity in this part of America.
