ENJOY NATURE AT ITS BEST

Northern Lights RV Resort in Hamlin, Alberta, is located in the Boreal Forest of Northern Alberta. Stretching thousands of miles from Newfoundland and Labrador in the east to Yukon in the west, and extending south 3,000-plus miles from the edge of the arctic tundra, the boreal region occupies more than half of Canada's land area. While much of the region is covered by forest, it also includes lakes, rivers, wetlands and naturally treeless areas. The boreal zone is home to diverse wildlife, and is crucial to maintaining biological diversity, storing carbon, purifying air and water and regulating the climate. Understanding the biodiversity of the region gives insight into the flora and fauna you’ll find while visiting the beautiful resort. Enjoy nature at its best, with private, level sites able to accommodate any size and type of RV. The campground is open all year round with a variety of activities and services. These include 20- and 30-amp power. Some sites will accommodate up to 50-foot RVs and include picnic table and fire ring. Choose from back- in or drive-through sites. Gorgeous trees help maintain privacy when set up on your site.

The Aurora Hub includes barbecues within a group picnic shelter. Visit the Twilight Centre and enjoy an above ground swimming pool, member-only activities, vending machines, and activity center. Propane is available on site (both bottle exchange and refill station). Ample storage for RV, boat, and ATVs is available. The adjacent wildlife and natural areas feature trails, water features, bird watching areas, hiking and ATV trails. In season, enjoy numerous berry bushes. Meet old and new friends at outdoor games and activities, including horseshoes, frisbee golf, axe throwing, and mini golf. If you’re missing the big-city lights, travel 1.5 hours to Alberta’s capital city, Edmonton. Experience what 18 hours of sunlight a day feels like in the summer, or how the first snowfall transforms the river valley in winter. No matter the season, Edmonton is made for exploring.
