wrecked world. You can cover your store and factory windows with blue eagles, but if back o f those eagles there is not a revival of integrity and honesty as sound business principles, if there is not more regard for the Prophet and less for the profit, if there is not the spirit o f “ live and let live” that is always and only the fruit of the living Christ in the breasts of men, if there is not a renaissance of gen uine, old-fashioned Christian character, then all the present bolstering will soon go down with a crash that will call for help from a merciful G od ! And that help will come! What all the blue eagles in the world cannot do, the glistening, snow-white Eagle of God (R e v .4 :7 ; 1:14), swooping down, will do in a moment of time! But that means judgment! For when the “ wickedness o f man was great in the earth,” and “ every imagination of the thoughts o f his heart was only evil continually,” when “ God looked upon the earth” and saw that the earth was “ filled with violence” and that “ all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth,” then “ God said unto Noah, T he end . . . is come ” (Gen. 6:5, 11-13). “ And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days o f the Son of man” (Lk. 17 :26 ). Loss of Freedom N. R. A . is significant o f the approaching loss o f the most precious rights o f freemen which will he the sad fruitage o f a world surrendered to dictatorial government. All will admit that the N. R. A. is curtailing freedom. This fact, however, does not, o f itself, discredit the N. R. A., for the freedom o f men who no longer fear God, and who have no regard for the laws of God or man, is a freedom which must necessarily be curtailed. This is why Dear Miss Scott: I am very much troubled, and need help. For four years, I have thought I really had Christ in my heart, and tried to serve Him with all my heart, although I see now I failed. I realize that I have never experienced Jesus in the way I wanted to. A fear has filled my heart, and I cry and pray unto God to deliver me, but He seemingly does not answer. My mother and father are both Christians, and love Jesus. I have not told them about my fear, for I do not wish to grieve them. What shall I do ? Ought I to tell them about it? Shall I cease praying to God? Pray for me.— E. My dear Girl : I am wondering if you have not prayed yourself out o f faith. I do not mean that you could have prayed too much, but perhaps you have prayed in the wrong way. You can be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ if you will ! Have you come to Him, confessing your sin and need of a Saviour, and claimed His "promises, and accepted His gift o f salvation by faith, and then rested with abandonment in His finished work, instead of looking for some “ feeling” to rest in? Read carefully Romans 10:9; John 3:16, 17; 5 :24 ; 6 :37. Believe God, and wait for anything He has to give you. He may test your: willîhgness to stand in faith on His promises alone, and when you hâve been so proved,

the Master said: c “ If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8 :36 ). The freer a man is from sin, the freer he is under both the laws of God and the laws o f men. Again, we affirm that it is moral and spiritual chaos, like that in the days of Noah and Lot, which puts men in chains, makes necessary N. R. A .’s, and enthrones Mussolinis, Stalins, and Hitlers. Only moral and spiritual chaos can pave the way for the reign o f an Antichrist. Do we realize what this loss of individual freedom may mean? If man is incompetent to govern himself in the world o f politics, or finance, or commerce, or agriculture— if he must have a dictator to do his thinking in these realms ^ i s it to be considered strange if the one who dictates in all those dominions should reason thus : “ If my subjects are incompetent to determine their own good in the domains o f agriculture, of commerce, o f finance, or of politics, why should they be thought competent to determine what is best for them in the important realm o f religion ?” And, when some world dictator comes and reasons thus, “ then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains” (Matt. 24:16). The N. R. A . is the beginning of a movement in Amer ica, which, if left to run its natural course, will destroy in dividual action, and force cooperation with the group. Its promoters already have very much to say in depreciation of “ rugged individualism.” That may be all right in busi ness, but it means utter disaster in the spiritual world. No group can answer for any man’s soul before the judgment bar of God. Every man must there answer as an indi vidual. Then may God preserve unto every man the right [Continued on page 382] the joy will come. It may come when you testify to others of your salvation based upon an acceptance of and faith in God’s Word, or when you rest your own experience and fears with the Lord, and begin to share His burden for the need o f others. You have probably been looking inward too long. Get your eyes away from self, and onto thé Lord. The worst thing you can do is to doubt Him, and fear He does not do what He promised to do, when you come asking Him for salvation. If you continue to pray that He will save you, and cry to Him for deliverance, instead o f claiming what you ask because you believe His Word, you become filled with doubt and unbelief. That is what we mean by praying yourself out o f faith. Read the entire Gospel o f John carefully. Spend much time in Bible study and prayer. This is the only way in which you can get acquainted with the Lord Jésus Christ, and experience the reality o f His presence in your life. Surely, tell your parents. They would be the more grieved that you hesitate to give them your confidence, and share with them your burden that they may help you by their prayers and counsel, As Christians, they will know that you will find Him when you seek for Him with all your heart, and will rejoice to know that you have a real heart hunger for God. I hope to hear from you again, and to know that you are resting in the finished work of Christ, and that the joy o f the Lord is your strength. . ■
