Novembar November

Autumn travel schedule

Dear passengers, November is the month during which we’re gradually preparing for the holiday season – a period when travel ta- kes on new warmth and meaning. We are especially pleased to announce that Toronto is once again part of our destinati- on network. After a break of more than 30 years, Air Serbia is re-establishing direct flights twice a week between Belgrade and Toronto. This route holds great significance for our com- pany, but also for the Serbian diaspora living in Canada. To- ronto is among the world’s key hubs of culture and business, and this new connection further strengthens ties between our two countries, communities and cultures. Air Serbia continues to grow and modernise. Our fleet wi- ll soon be further expanded with two new Embraer E-195 air- craft, reaffirming our commitment to quality, flight comfort and continuous progress. Air Serbia will be taking you to some of Europe’s most beautiful destinations this November, during a month when cities offer unique experiences through local festivals and events. Visitors to Prague can enjoy a festival dedicated to champagne and Budapest has an event celebrating wine and cheese, while northern Italy hosts the famous White Truffle Festival in Alba. These events mark the beginning of the ho- liday season, when the squares of European cities shimmer with the festive spirit of Christmas and New Year. In this edition of Elevate, you can learn more about Am- sterdam – a city that never ceases to inspire with its openne- ss, art and innovation. Its majestic canals, museums and coffee shops make it a place where the past and future blend in perfect harmony.

Er Srbija vas i ovog novembra vodi do naj- lepših evropskih destinacija, u vreme kada gra- dovi nude jedinstveni doživljaj kroz lokalne festi- vale i manifestacije. Ovi događaji uvod su u prazničnu sezonu, kada trgo- vi evropskih gradova zasijaju u duhu božićnih i no- vogodišnjih marketa.

Wherever you fly this November, may your jo- urney be filled with inspiration, new flavours and stories worth sharing. This is the perfect time to discover some of the 80 destinations that have direct connections with Belgrade – like Athens, Lisbon, Vienna, Barcelona or Venice. Welcome aboard.

NAKON VIŠE OD 30 GODINA AFTER A BREAK OF MORE THAN 30 YEARS DIREKTNIM LETOM DO TORONTA DIRECT FLIGHTS TO TORONTO Er Srbija najavljuje uspostavljanje direktnih letova između Beograda i Toronta (Aerodrom „Toronto Pirson YYZ“), od 23. maja 2026. godine Air Serbia has announced the establishing of direct scheduled flights between Belgrade and Toronto (Toronto Pearson International Airport YYZ) as of 23 rd May 2026

olakšava kontakte i unapređuje mogućnosti brže i lakše komunikacije. Posebno me raduje što će mnogim putnicima Srbije i regiona olakšati dolazak do njihovih porodica i prijatelja.

marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of our company and represents a continuation of Serbia’s economic, commercial and cultural development. Toronto is known as one of the world’s most important destinations, while it has a large Serbian diaspora, which is why the significance of this direct service extends beyond economic and commercial considerations,” says Air Serbia CEO Jiří Marek, adding that the Serbian diaspora has for years been advocating for the establishment of a direct air bridge between Belgrade and Toronto. “This route not only connects two countries, but also two cultures and two communities, facilitating contacts and

improving opportunities for faster and easier communication. I’m particularly pleased that it will make it easier for many passengers from Serbia and the region to reach their families and friends. U FOKUSU / IN FOCUS

FIRST TIME IN TORONTO? Toronto isn’t only Canada’s largest city – it rep- resents the entire world in a single metropolis. When you land there for the first time, you’ll under- stand why many call it “New York with manners”. The streets are filled with different languages, aro- mas and colours from all corners of the world, but everything functions in accordance with Canadian coolness and a smile that never seems forced. For starters there’s the sky. Visiting the CN Tower is a must. Once the world’s tallest building, it remains the best observation point to view the city and Lake Ontario for the first time. If you’re brave enough, ex- perience the “EdgeWalk” - a walk on a ledge cicling the top of the tower, 356 metres above the ground. Next head down to the Harbourfront neighbour- hood, where Toronto breathes more easily along the waterfront. Here you can ice skate with a view of snow-covered ships in the winter, while in the sum- mer months everything is taken over by the aromas of street food and the sounds of jazz. Head a little further on and you’ll come across the Toronto Islands – offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, but also a picture postcard view of the city’s skyline. When hunger strikes, Toronto becomes a foodie’s paradise. From Little Italy and The Danforth Greek- town, to Chinatown and Koreatown – every nation has its own little quarter and proudly preserves its authentic flavours. Meanwhile, at the city’s ubiq- uitous vegan restaurants you’ll sample dishes that even the most dedicated meat-eaters would keep for themselves. When it comes to art, there’s the Art Gallery of On- tario and the Royal Ontario Museum, while Kensing- ton Market is a must for those with a bohemian spirit. Vintage shops, street murals, cafés with a soul – this is Toronto in its most chilled attire. And evenings out? Hop over to the Distillery District, a former industri- al complex that’s been transformed into a romantic labyrinth of galleries, bars and sparkling lights. Toron- to will win you over with its diversity, but also with its warmth. This is a city that doesn’t view you as a tour- ist, but as someone who’s just moved here.

PRVI PUT U TORONTU?

A večernji izlazak? Skoknite do „Disti- llery Districta“, nekadašnjeg industrijskog kompleksa pretvorenog u romantični la- virint galerija, pivnica i svetlucavih lampi- ca. Toronto će vas osvojiti svojom razno- likošću, ali i toplinom.

NIAGARA FALLS Niagara Falls is only around a 90-minute drive (approx. 130 kilo- metres) from Toronto, and the journey itself turns into an excursion – along the shore of Lake Ontario, through vineyards and pictur- esque towns like Niagara-on-the-Lake. And then you arrive in a place where it’s impossible to feel indiffer- ent. The power of the water falling from a height of 57 metres cre- ates a roar that you can feel in your chest, while mist and water droplets stick to your face as if greeting you. Despite being formal- ly “discovered” by French explorer Samuel de Champlain back in 1604, these falls represented a sacred site for the native people long before the arrival of Europeans. They today consist of three parts: the Horseshoe Falls (on the Canadian side), the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls (on the American side), which together form one of the world’s most famous sights. The most famous section, the Horseshoe Falls, also carries the most water – with a flow rate exceeding 2,800 cubic metres per second! This sight is best experienced up close as part of a Niaga- ra City Cruise. Bring a raincoat for this boat ride – you’re sure to need it, with mist and tiny droplets falling from all sides, but that’s all part of the magic. If you’d rather view the falls from above, clamber to the top of the Skylon Tower or visit the Journey Behind the Falls observation deck, where you can literally stand behind the curtain of water and feel all the power of nature. For the full expe- rience, plan to stay until the evening hours – when the falls are il- luminated in rainbow colours, while the spectacle ends with fire- works during the summer months.

LUŠTICA BAY

A NEW VIEW ON COASTAL & GOLF-SIDE LIVING LIMITED COLLECTION OF TOWNHOUSES AT THE PEAKS

MORNINGS LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT NOW

Designed by internationally acclaimed architect NRA Atelier, these townhouses blend Mediterranean elegance with Montenegro’s rich architectural heritage. Locally sourced stone and wood have been used to form a timeless aesthetic that brings the past into the present, preserving cultural character while embracing modern functionality. Arranged across two levels to create a natural distinction between social spaces and private dominions, each townhouse features three en-suite bedrooms, light- filled and open-plan interiors, a striking double-height ceiling and expansive glazing that serves to connect indoor and outdoor living. Warm and earthy finishes abound, with owners offered a choice of two fitted-furniture packages. These provide a convenient foundation for immediate living and flexibility for future interior customisation. Truly distinguishing these townhouses are their near-constant invitation to spend time outdoors and in nature. Green-roof terraces are accessible from the master bedroom in select townhouses, while landscaped gardens range from 184 to 590m² , thus further extending the living space outdoors. All townhouses are enveloped by the scents of lavender and lime. These can be enjoyed from the tranquillity of one’s private swimming pool in the morning, or beneath a sun-dappled pergola made for year-round al fresco dining that lasts long into the night.

There are some mornings when life’s intangibles seem to beautifully align and you instinctively know that it will be a good day; a feel-alive day. It’s into this air of unhurried grace that a limited collection of 11 townhouses emerges in The Peaks – the jewel of the Luštica Bay project – positioned around Montenegro’s future signature 18-hole golf course. Stretching along a coastline affectionately dubbed the Adriatic Riviera, Luštica Bay covers 690 hectares - four times the footprint of Monaco - with 90% of its land dedicated to preserving the natural landscape. Around €1.6 billion will be invested in the town by 2033, making this the largest greenfield investment in Montenegro and one of the most significant in Southeast Europe, yet Luštica Bay is already a dynamic Mediterranean destination well beyond its years. Whether you arrive by yacht or via the nearby Tivat Airport that’s just a 15-minute drive away, Luštica Bay’s appeal lies in its inherent balance: a harmony between nature and design, simplicity and sophistication. There is no manufactured glamour or mimicry. Just a town with its own distinctive identity, where life unfolds at an unhurried pace and the backdrop is silently stunning.

PLAY WILD, LIVE BEAUTIFUL Located on the prestigious outskirts of the UNESCO-protected Bay of Kotor, The Peaks is set to become one of the world’s most coveted golf communities, with these new townhouses in a prime position overlooking the upcoming course’s fifth hole and the Bay of Kotor itself. While the townhouses are an elevated sanctuary, residents remain connected to the lively Marina Village with its curated boutiques and sophisticated dining, as well as Centrale’s growing urban piazza, complete with essential amenities. “When you’ve designed around 130 golf courses on five different continents, you see a lot of wonderful views. I‘ve really never seen a more beautiful place than this. If I had to have a house on any golf course in the world, this would be my place.” Those are the words of Gary Player, who designed the magnificent 18-hole, par-72 course that anchors The Peaks. Townhouse owners will have full access to the course and The ClubHouse - a focal point for community life, with its stylish restaurant, comprehensive golf services, expert coaching and state-of- the-art golf simulator.

INVESTING IN A FLOURISHING MARKET AND COMMUNITY

Montenegro’s strategic location, healthy climate, coastal beauty and burgeoning innovation make it an attractive prospect for those looking to invest, stay, or live the Mediterranean way. Less than a three- hour flight from London, the county’s EU- candidate status, low-tax environment and rising global profile make it one of Europe’s most promising property markets. And Luštica Bay leads the way in this endeavour, drawing international buyers with its proven capital growth potential.

Average annual property appreciation sits at 13%, with further uplift expected as the golf course takes shape. However, this destination isn’t merely a financial investment. It’s an investment in a sustainable, impactful place with a real purpose. Orascom Development Holding – a leader in the development of tight-knit communities in self-sustaining destinations – is the driving force behind Luštica Bay, and its founder, Samih Sawiris, has always reiterated his vision for this to be a fully integrated town, and not just a hotel complex or holiday resort. Perhaps that’s why the town is already home to a cosmopolitan community of over 700 families from more than 50 countries. Their life here centres around the popular marina, with its collection of shops, restaurants and yachting facilities, as well as direct access to the Adriatic coastline. Clear waters, five pristine beaches and two sea lounges create a daily ritual of sun, while a range of activities, events and experiences

cater to all ages and passions. The offer includes padel courts, paddleboarding, scenic hikes and engaging kids’ clubs with magic shows, followed by operatic showcases. TOWNHOUSES WITH PRIME VIEWS OF THE GOLF COURSE AND BAY OF KOTOR Now launching from a starting price of €2.2 million, these townhouses join Luštica Bay’s select portfolio of residences that includes spacious villas and a nearly sold- out collection of golf apartments. Financial flexibility is a cornerstone of The Peaks offer: investors benefit from 0% transfer tax, while a bespoke payment plan is available for those who purchase early in the coming weeks. The Peaks Townhouses introduce an exclusive, limited-time payment plan available to early buyers as part of the launch. The payment plan begins with a 20% down payment, followed by 50% in quarterly instalments during construction, and 30%

in quarterly post-handover payments, all interest-free. This presents owners with the unique advantage of being able to move in during their payment period and/or even generate rental income through Luštica Bay’s professional Property Rental Service. It is thanks to all of this that Luštica Bay has become one of the world’s most compelling addresses, particularly at a time when discerning travellers and investors are seeking retreats from the world’s crowded corners. The Peaks’ new townhouses raise the bar once again, welcoming a precious handful of owners into an elegant community, where life is spent alive and well.

Water is never just water in Amsterdam. It marks the be- ginning and end of every story, limit and liberty, obstacle and driver. And it was precise- ly around a dam on the River Amstel, on 12 th October 1275, that the history of this city be- gan unfolding — when it was mentioned as Amestelledam- me in the charter issued by Count Floris V that exempted local fishermen from paying tolls. That old parchment is to- day considered the birth cer- tificate of Amsterdam, which has existed in harmony wi- th water, wind and the people who created it for seven and a half centuries. From swamp to metropolis The site of today’s city cen- tre was once a swamp, occu- pied by a number of modest settlements that struggled to cope with floods and high ti- des. When the first inhabi - tants built a dam on the Am- stel, they could have had no idea that they were laying the foundations of a city that wo-

Jubilee year Celebrations commemora- ting this great anniversary be- gan last month and ran un- til 27 th October, which marked exactly 750 years since the ci- ty was first mentioned in an official document. Amster - dam has been a stage for con- certs, exhibitions, performan- ces and art projects — ranging from central events to small neighbourhood initiatives – throughout the entire year, and this will continue in November. So, be sure to check it out for yourself! City that celebrates the future Amsterdam isn’t only celebra- ting the past, but also what’s yet to come. This jubilee ye- ar has seen the launch of nu- merous initiatives that explo- re what the city will look like in the next 50 and 100 years - how it will preserve its herita- ge while remaining open, inc- lusive and sustainable. That’s because Amsterdam is a ci- ty that doesn’t stand still, even after seven and a half centu- ries. It continues to flow – like the water on which it was cre- ated. But while we await futu-

Our Lord in the Attic Could there be anything stranger than a secret chur- ch hidden in an attic? Not a lot! Catholicism was techni- cally banned in Amsterdam during the 17 th century, which prompted locals to simply bu- ild their own little secret chur- ches. Our Lord in the Attic is today among the best-preser- ved “hidden attic churches”, with an entire chapel housed in the upper floors of a typical canal house. When stepping inside, you’ll feel like you’ve

stumbled upon Christianity’s Batman Cave. Ready to fly? So, why should you visit Am- sterdam? For its unique blend of historical architecture, wor- ld-class museums, and vibrant culture. Because its liberal atmosphere offers everything from art and history to lively nightlife. Its well-preserved le- gacies of the city‘s 17 th -century Golden Age, have attracted mi- llions of visitors annually. Why shouldn‘t you be among them?

FROM MY PERSPECTIVE: DANILO JERINIĆ, DIRECTOR OF EXPO 2027 The world is arriving in Belgrade: the road to Expo 2027 Despite more than a century and a half having elapsed between London in 1851 and Belgrade in 2027, the idea has remained the same: the Expo is a place for the world to come together and dream about the future. And that future will soon arrive in our country... The genuine world spectacle that was Expo 2025 Osaka concluded recent- ly. Over the course of six months, this world exhibition brought together 29 million visitors who came from all around the planet. As I can personal- ly confirm, the final days of the event saw kilometre-long queues and sold- out tickets that testified to just how much this concept is alive and kicking,

and how much humankind still needs to gather, meet and exchange ideas. Ex- po 2025 Osaka was a celebration of cre- ativity and cooperation, but its conclu- sion shifts the focus of world exposition attention to Serbia. The next Expo will be hosted by Belgrade, with the city set to welcome representatives of more than 120 countries and millions of visi- tors between May and August 2027.

there participating in Shanghai, Mi- lan, Dubai and Osaka. Serbia’s “Float- ing Forest” pavilion at Expo 2025 Osa- ka, inspired by Belgrade’s Great War Island, became one of the event’s most popular attractions. More than a mil- lion people passed through the mul- ti-award-winning Serbian pavilion, which symbolised sustainability, crea- tivity and openness – values that will also characterise our own upcoming Expo. Belgrade will host the Specialised Ex- hibition from 15 th May to 15 th Au- gust 2027, under the theme “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All”. A new Expo quarter is emerging on an area of 25 hectares and will repre- sent a space where culture, technolo- gy, sports, music and sustainable de- velopment intertwine. More than four million visitors are expected to at- tend, including more than a million tourists, while the Expo will include more than eight thousand events, ranging from concerts and lectures to interactive installations and sporting activities. Expo 2027 is an opportunity for Ser- bia to showcase to the world its tradi- tion and culture, and everything that makes us good hosts. Once the Expo concludes, the new Belgrade Fair, mu- seum quarter, schools, sports halls and green spaces will remain. This will create an enduring legacy that will change the face of the city and the lives of its residents.

However, do we really know what the Expo is?

The world exposition global movement has been bringing countries togeth- er around the idea of progress, shar- ing knowledge and discussing the fu- ture for 170 years. The first World’s Fair was held in London in 1851 and rep- resented a celebration of human inge- nuity, becoming the place where many people first saw the telegraph, electric lamp, lift/elevator and even a precursor to the telephone. By experiencing the Expo, one could “walk" into the future: it was these exhibitions that first pre- sented to the public technological ad- vancements that have changed the way we live. The modern World Expo isn’t merely an exhibition of innovations, but also an invitation to engage in dia- logue, cooperation and understanding between nations. Serbia has been part of this story for 140 years From our country’s first participation in Antwerp back in 1885, Serbia was

Prodajni paviljon Marina Dorćol posetiocima nudi VR tehnologiju kakva do sada nije viđena na tržištu nekretnina u Srbiji / The Marina Dorćol sales pavilion offers visitors VR technology never before seen on the Serbian real estate market

M arina Dorćol, projekat češke investicione kompanije SEBRE, predstavlja jedno od najambicioznijih i arhitektonski najprepoznatljivijih naselja u Beogradu. Na mestu nekadašnje termoelektrane, u srcu Dorćola i tik uz Dunav, nastaje novo urbano jezgro koje spaja istorijski duh Beograda sa inovativnim rešenjima savremene arhitekture i gradnje. Sa više od 30.000 m² zelenih površina, pejzažno uređenim dvorištima, drvoređenima i novom promenadom s direktnim pristupom reci, Marina Dorćol postaje novi epicentar života i dešavanja na ovoj strani grada. INVESTICIJA KOJA DONOSI SIGURNOST I VREDNOST Izgradnja prve faze projekta napreduje prema planiranoj dinamici, a Marina Dorćol postaje izbor onih koji traže dom za svoju porodicu i sigurno ulaganje u budućnost. Zahvaljujući izuzetnoj lokaciji, vrhunskom kvalitetu gradnje i prepoznatljivom arhitektonskom potpisu Fiala+Kuzmanović,

Svi ovi sistemi i pažljivo birani detalji čine razliku i obezbeđuju korisnicima značajne uštede, prijatnije i zdravije životno okruženje.
