E ach November sees Belgrade become the home of one of the regional film scene’s most important events, recognised for its artistic integrity and au- teur approach to film. Founded in 1994, the Au- teur Film Festival (FAF) has a mission to present works that transcend the limits of conventional cinema reper- toires. These films don’t seek only to entertain: they strive to move and provoke, to take the audience to places where film serves as a mirror of reality, and not an escape from it. Throughout the years, this festival has attracted the attention of audiences and critics because it has created space for au- thors with an international calibre, but also for new voices that change the way film is created and experienced. The Auteur Film Festival each year brings the most interesting works from world festivals, but also works by renowned filmmakers like Pedro Almodóvar, Jacques Audiard and Kirill Serebrennikov. Alongside international titles, the programme also traditional- ly includes premieres of domestic creations – films that are yet to appear in cinemas. Among the works that you shouldn’t miss at this year’s FAF are: Two Seasons, Two Strangers by Japanese director Sho Mi- yake; My Father’s Shadow by Akinola Davis Jr; Oliver Laxe’s Sirāt, Jafar Panahi’s It Was Just an Accident, The Disappear- ance of Josef Mengele by Kirill Serebrennikov and Teona Stru- gar Mitevska’s Mother Teresa. This year’s domestic premieres will be Stefan Đorđević’s film Wind, Talk to Me and Nikola Ležaić’s creation How Come It’s All Green Out Here? This year’s edition will have a special focus on young auteur filmmakers whose stories bring a fresh perspective on the modern world and the challenges of today. The festival organ- isers’ desire to include young creators and provide them with space and inspiration makes FAF a place where auteur film doesn’t remain exclusive – but rather becomes a shared cul- ture. Whether you’re a passionate film buff, an artist or a trav- eller wanting to feel Belgrade’s cultural pulse - the Auteur Film Festival is an opportunity to discover titles that shift the boundaries and change the way we see the world.

Filmovi ne traže da samo zabave: oni žele da pokrenu, da provocira- ju, da odvedu publiku u mesta gde film služi kao ogledalo stvarnosti, a ne kao beg od nje. Tokom godina Festival je privukao pažnju publike i kritike jer otvara prostor za autore međunarodnog kali- bra, ali i za nove glasove koji menjaju način na koji se film stvara i doživljava. Svake godine Festival autorskog fil- ma donosi najzanimljivija ostvarenja sa svetskih festivala i dela renomiranih autora poput Pedra Almodovara, Žaka Odijara i Kirila Serebrenikova. Pored međunarodnih na- slova, program tradicionalno uključuje i domaće premijere – filmove koji će tek započeti svoj bioskopski život. Ove godine među ostvarenjima koja ne smete propu- stiti nalaze se: „Dva godišnja doba, dva stranca“ japanskog reditelja Šoa Mijakea, „Sena mog oca“ Akinole Dejvisa, „Sirat“ Olivera Lašea, „Jedan običan incident“ Džafara Pa- nahija, „Nestanak Jozefa Mengelea“ Kirila Serebrenikova i „Majka Tereza“ Teone Strugar Mitevske. Domaće premije- re ove godine imaće Stefan Đorđević sa filmom „Vetre, pri- čaj sa mnom“ i Nikola Ležaić sa ostvarenjem „Kako je ov- de tako zeleno?“. Poseban fokus biće na mladim autorima i autorkama čije priče donose svež pogled na savremeni svet i izazo- ve današnjice. Želja Festivala da uključi mlade stvaraoce, pruži im prostor i inspiriše ih, čini FAF mestom gde autor- ski film ne ostaje ekskluziva – već postaje zajednička kul- tura. Bez obzira na to da li ste strastveni filmofil, umetnik ili putnik koji želi da oseti kulturni puls Beograda, Festi- val autorskog filma je prilika da otkrijete naslove koji po- meraju granice i menjaju način na koji gledamo svet.
