Out of the Woods, Out of This World On June 3, 2025, the London Writers Society (LWS) published its inaugural anthology Out of the Woods: Voices from the Forest City, a collection of short stories and poems written by 35 members of LWS. Official Plan and Zoning amendments to allow: • Two (2) 7-storey residential apartment building • 156 residential units (159 units per hectare) • 141 vehicular parking spaces • 156 bicycle parking Spaces Want to learn more or provide input? The anthology, curated by Emma Donoghue and featuring a foreword by Terry Fallis, showcases the diversity of ideas, writing styles, and experiences of seasoned and emerging writers from Southwestern Ontario. It has already captured the interest of many, including hitting the Globe and Mail’s “35 hot new reads.” “There’s never been a more important time to read and support local,” adds Martha Morrison, Chair of the Anthology Committee and featured writer at the Byron Library. Out of the Woods is available in bookstores and online at Amazon, Indigo, and Barnes & Noble. Proceeds from sales are reinvested in the LWS to support local literary arts.
