F ranco American Bakery has been locally owned and operated in Santa Rosa since 1900. Mario Bastoni began working as a baker in 1928 before purchasing the business in 1938. Mario’s son, Robert, initially joined the team in 1964, and he later passed that passion on to his daughter, Kristin Bastoni-Frazee, who became full-time in 1991. After Robert’s passing his daughter, Kristin, became the sole owner and has carried on the family tradition of baking award-winning breads and providing premier service and sales to Sonoma County wholesale and retail stores, deli’s, and restaurants. Franco American Bakery continues its success rooted in family, with fourth-generation Ashley Frazee joining the team full-time as of 2022. The bakery offers over 160 products, including its famous sourdough breads. Also available are dinner and sandwich rolls, hamburger buns, and sliced bread in sweet, sour, wheat, ciabatta, and rye doughs, as well as the full line of Mezzaluna products. The entire product line is available for special orders, perfect for personal use, parties, and catering for both wholesale and retail customers.

The bakery store, located at 202 W. 7th St., Santa Rosa, is open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 am–2:30 pm and Saturday from 8 am–2:30 pm. It is closed Sunday and Wednesday.
