“It’s no secret that Nevada County is known for a concentration of talented artists and craftsmen. For decades this region’s natural beauty has attracted creatives of all types, and this tour literally opens the door to this unique artist community. Unlike art fairs and markets, a studio tour offers an opportunity to enter the private world of artists. I find that each studio holds

about open studios Open Studios- Nevada County West is one of the largest visual arts programs in the area and serves hundreds of artists with thousands of attendees each year. This self-guided tour extends throughout urban and rural western Nevada County every second and third weekend of October. Serving as a jumping-off point is the Open Studios Preview Exhibition at The Granucci Gallery which features one work from each participating artist, gallery, or group studio. To attend the self-guided free tour, use this guide and the Preview Exhibition to discover studios you’d like to visit and plan your route.
