“It’s no secret that Nevada County is known for a concentration of talented artists and craftsmen. For decades this region’s natural beauty has attracted creatives of all types, and this tour literally opens the door to this unique artist community. Unlike art fairs and markets, a studio tour offers an opportunity to enter the private world of artists. I find that each studio holds

a new conversation and a new perspective– what you will discover is how vital and integral artists are in fostering this vibrant community. This relationship between artist and patron is what makes western Nevada County such a special place, where we gather in celebration and support of creativity. Each year I learn more, grow deeper connections, and discover new art to bring home. Although this is my last year as Open Studios Coordinator, I will always be its biggest fan!
