Wildlife carbon balancing. Rewild Carbon is Durrell’s wild, colourful and impactful carbon balancing programme, aiming to reduce carbon in the atmosphere by rewilding threatened wildlife-rich ecosystems. The first project is in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil. It is one of the most species-rich habitats on the planet, yet only 6% of it remains. So far they’ve planted over 250,000 trees and restored over 170 hectares. Sail or kayak. Explore Jersey’s oshore reefs with Jersey Seafaris, where fuel use is oset by the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust’s ‘Rewild Carbon’ project. Explore Jersey with zero emissions using the EVie app to rent cars and vans, where you can see how much CO2 you saved per journey after your ride. E-Bikes also available from our local providers.
