1/2 cup powdered sugar 1-1/2 tsps vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 Tbsp salt
STRAWBERRY KIWI SCHNAPPS SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS: 1 tray ice cubes, crushed in blender. 6 large or 8 medium fresh straw- berries (cleaned and diced) 1/2 cup Snapple or Ocean Spray strawberry kiwi cocktail juice (or brand of your choice) 2 oz strawberry Schnapps (less if you like) 2 Tbsp sugar (more or less, your choice) DIRECTIONS: 1. Add cleaned and diced strawberries. 2. Next cocktail juice. 3. Then Schnapps and sugar. 4. Blend until a smoothie texture. For a thicker smoothie add extra ice. 5. Garnish with a strawberry on the lip of glass or a mint leaf sprig.
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (quaker oatmeal, not instant) DIRECTIONS: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. In a large bowl beat butter until creamy. 3. Gradually beat in powdered sug- ar, then salt, vanilla, and flour. 4. When blended and smooth stir in oats. shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets, about 2 inches apart. You can also flatten by pressing with fingers. 5. Bake 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. 6. While still warm, roll in pow- dered sugar. 7. Cool on wire rack. Makes 2 1/2 to 3 dozen cookies. CRAB BALLS INGREDIENTS: 1 Backfin crab meat 1 egg, beaten 2 crushed Ritz crackers 1 tsp yellow mustard 2 Tbsps fresh lemon juice 2 Tbsps parsley 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
DIRECTIONS: 1. Place crab meat in a mixing bowl and pick out any stray shell fragments. 2. Add crushed crackers, Old Bay seasoning, and parsley to the crab. 3. In a separate bowl, combine egg, mustard, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Whip with a whisk until smooth.
4. Pour egg mixture over the crab meat and crackers. Gently mix, careful not to break up large lumps of crab meat. 5. Mold into golfball-sized balls and place on a cookie sheet. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
